It was a pretty weird show. Joe McGann looked kind of creepy and sickly in it, as if he was recovering from surgery.

Ta Da!!

Before Hollyoaks, he had a part on the ITV soap opera Night and Day playing Sam Armstrong alongside Hollyoaks ex-cast member, Kevin Sacre. Manning won the 2002 British Soap Awards "Hero of the Year" award for that role.

Night And Day was a briliant Twin Peaks -style soap which was completely wrongly marketed and time slotted by ITV.

Didnt one of the character turn out to be a robot?

I remember watching the show but don't remember her dying, what happened was she murdered or just dropped dead?

it turned out she had murdered some one i think thats why she went missing, when she came back people found out and then she was jailed. the last episode was like 3 - 5 years later and she came out on day release but then her mum got a phone call from the prision informing her that her daughter was dead. the last episode was mad with everyone completely diffrent and one of the characters was now living as woman.

It should never have been on ITV in my opinion; I thought it was more Channel 4-ish.

Er, no...

I think she just dropped dead, which I thought was very cruel considering what her family had been through. But as the show was axed, I guess the writers felt they had to kill Jane off.

Brilliant show. Used to make my Thursday nights.

Only 80 omnibuses were ever made - DVD? Although the amount of music they used would mean royalty costs make this almost impossible.

And yes, Frankie and Kate did make a robot of her dad in the last episode.

Lesley Joseph was great as Rachel Culgrin

I thought Jane returned before the last episode.

Will was the the one who was killed and hidden in a box and transformed into a robot. ryan harper became a transexual. Mike who was with Fiona played by Glynis Barber, he went gay and tried it on with everyone in the toilets - not sure if it was Dennis or Ryan he fell for.

I also remember Shane Ritchie and Bradley Walsh coming into it.

I loved Night and Day. I don't think it was marketed correctly though and was on at completely the wrong time!

Does anyone know what happened to the actress who played Jane as I thought she was very good? I think she turned up in Crossroads mark 3 but I dont think I've seen her in anything else since.
