Additional channels on Humax Freesat

How would I go about adding extra channels like ITV regions on Freesat? And is it anyway possible to get 5* and 5 USA, the channels that would normally be FTA on satellite?

If you look around the forum you will find details about Raydons firmware and also the channel editor that comes with it. Though you can get the channel editor on it's own. 5* and 5 USA are encrypted anyway so you will need a sky card to decrypt them. The only way to get them free is freeview.

Thanks.

You do a non Freesat scan, and then use non Freesat mode. All the free-to-air channels that the box can receive will then be listed.

You don't need the channel editor hack to receive non-Freesat channels. You do need it to edit the main channel list, but this isn't really advised because the box (and the software) will misbehave badly if you don't tread carefully.

Nothing you do will get encrypted channels on your Freesat receiver (unless you use some dubious means to make it work with a Sky card - but if you have one of those you might as well use a Sky STB).

Cheers,
David.

I don't think the dodgy CAM and a FSFS Card work around works since the change from the Blue Cards to the New White Cards.

I never knew about them changing the cards so it wouldn't work anymore. So your now forced to buy a sky box if you want subscription channels.
