Mu Humax ha son occasion cocked up a recording, where the playback skips like a stuck CD, and sound going on and off every second. This is sometimes rectified by rewinding / forwarding a few segments but in general if it is screwed, the whole program is screwed.

It went away and then recently for some reason it has started to happen again, but only with one program which is totally random. The program is Family Guy - and no matter what time of day it records, or how much is stored on the box already, around 25% of what I have recorded of Family Guy is squelched, skipped and totally messed up.

I thought the Humax was better than this?

Weird. As it's only one particular programme I doubt it's the Humax's fault. Do you record anything else on that channel? Does watching the programme in real time throw up any problems?

Which model of Humax and which software version are you running? This may be a known problem with a particular combination of model/software so would be helpful to know.

Plus you might get a better response posting in the Humax PVR thread where the Humax experts tend to hang out more.

If you Alert your own post and in the message box ask the mods to move this thread to that forum that would save you having to repeat yourself, not to mention trying to keep track of two threads on the same topic
