I've just found this accoustic version of Will Young's new single "Come On" from his Album Echoes

Such a beautiful and emotional rendition of a great song he is such a brilliant singer.

I wish the rest of the album had been like that. Much too much production in the rest for me but that was lovely!

Really? The production was just right. Wasn't too much. It's such a chilled out album. That's trip-pop for you.

I really can't understand how you think the album is over produced, it's quite the opposite actually.

Beautiful acoustic version. I'd love a whole album of these acoustic tracks..but this is amazing. If you needed any more proof that he's one of the best British vocalists around today!

Beautiful version. I swear his voice just gets better and better. Still love the album version though.

I really don't think the album has been over-produced at all. In fact I think this album has come the closest to his live vocal than all of them. I suspect it's the type of music that isn't to your taste Gill, but the vocals are superb on it and very to the front of the tracks.

You are probably right. But I do like the accoustic version. I am old-fashioned. I have just read that at my age I am considered elderly!

Apparently people are considered elderly when they get to 75! Which is my age!

Sorry - off topic!

There's quite a few mixes going round, I've heard the Cahill club mix and I love it.

A lot better than the single/album version, the acoustic Jealousy was better than the original as well. Still think there are much better songs on the album that he could have released instead of Come On though.

How about a complete Echoes album all acoustic! That would be nice.

I'm hoping for Runaway and Silent Valentine for single releases - Hearts on Fire would be good too.. Although Losing Myself and Safe From Harm are pretty amazing too. Very hard to choose singles from this album really.

Jealousy was clearly the right choice for a 1st single from the album and has done amazingly well. Come On is yet to do the job but hopefully it will - tis album sales that are the real measure of success for Will. Although, high charting singles are a bonus of course

I agree about Jealousy, it was the perfect first single, it showcased what was to come on the album, and it showed that he wasn't deviating too drastically from what he's known for, but also that it was something different.

I don't think Runaway should be released, I love it and it's one of my favourites on the album, but I don't think it would do well as a single. I do agree about Silent Valentine, that should definitely be released, if they do it will probably be around February (Valentine's Day) or March (Mother's Day to boost album sales).
