Noticed that nobody has made a thread for this yet so I thought that I would

Cher's debut album which has been announced to be titled Sticks & Stones will be officially released on November 7th, a week after the release of her second single "With Ur Love" which features Mike Posner.

The tracklisting is as follows:
1. 'Grow Up' Feat. Busta Rhymes
2. 'Want U Back'
3. 'With Ur Love' Feat. Mike Posner
4. 'Swagger Jagger'
5. 'Beautiful People' Feat. Carolina Liar
6. 'Playa Boi'
7. 'Superhero'
8. 'Over The Moon'
9. 'Dub On The Track' Feat. Mic Righteous, Dot Rotten + Ghetts
10. 'End Up Here'

here is the album artwork:

and you can listen to the album sampler here:

so what are your thoughts on this? i'm quite excited as i am a fan of cher and her music, although swagger jagger was annoying at first it did grow on me
would love for you to share your thoughts and expectations of the album, positive or negative but let's please not turn this into a bashing thread

I am eager to hear this to be honest. She's alright. I am not a hater but i won't come on here and proclaim her as the next big thing for the UK. I am suprised she got Busta and Dot rotton on her album. Busta doesn't work with a lot of people and Dot is very underground and avoids the commercial limelight.

I like the title. It's relevent to how her public have treated her.

I was thinking earlier about how features are usually placed onto debut albums in order to assist sales, create interest etc but in the UK none of the features on this album are particularly commercially successful. I wonder if they're placed on their for an American release?

Judging by the titles, it seems hilariously desperate.

And by all accounts how she has treated others. She's a hypocrite.

I really liked Swagger Jagger, but she has easily topped herself with Ur Love.

Its a really nice, current, quality song. I dont think it will get to number one, but it should give her some cred maybe, now that she has gone into a different direction from the in-your-face Swagger Jagger.

and bonus, her hair, while I am not ashamed to say I love big hair, her new 'do' is so her. Great look, and suitable vid.

And... Mike Posner is damn fine, I would jump him like jumping was going out of fashion in the next 17 seconds.

Just looks like they aren't sure how to market her so they're trying a new thing every week. Isn't Mike Posner a one hit wonder from last year? Does anyone remember him by now?

Eh? I know she's insulted a couple of people on Twitter before (which I wish she hadn't done) but to be fair she hasn't done that in a long while and I think it's a habit she may have finally outgrown. She's said some stuff about Louis Walsh but that was nothing major whatsoever, much like what Louis said about her. As far as I know, apart from the aforementioned incidents, she's never victimised anyone as badly as the most extreme stuff she gets. Mountains out of molehills, me thinks.

Btw, are we sure that that track-listing is 100% correct? If it is then it doesn't really add up because several other tracks have been mentioned at various times (including one Cher and Emeli Sandé did, which Emeli herself mentioned once) so I'm sceptical as to whether it is fully correct. I mean, it could be that they'll be on a deluxe version of the album or something. The worst that could happen is that they're saved for a second album, but because that sounds too cheap a tactic even for Syco I do doubt that luckily. Either way those songs do exist so there must be plans to use them somewhere, but I reckon they'd be very much welcomed on the album (by me definitely) since they're more on the ballad side.

Yeah, a shame maybe, he has a really nice voice, his part on 'With ur love' could of been a little bit longer.

i didn't completely hate swagger jagger as much as some, but just heard with ur love, and its thought it sounded great. one of those songs on in the background on the radio, where you start to notice halfway through that whatever it is, its a great pop tune.

good luck to her i say.
