Anyone know if there is any dating apps that work in exactly the same way as grindr or bender/Brenda?

They have to work in exactly the same way... If you've used them you will know what I'm on about I want them for iOS

Dating apps? I've seen it all now. Whatever happened to lads going out on the pull and picking up birds that way?

I don't think Op has any intention of using Grindr for "picking up birds" that's so 1980's

My flatmate has one or two of those apps, namely grindr and to be honest it's filth! It's not a dating app, it's just a lot of testosterone fuelled lads looking for sex with each other! it's the equivalent of trawling toilets and seedy back rooms, but being able to do it more safely, which is a positive I guess.

I feel apps like these just fuel a horrible gay stereotype.

I would have thought it opens the doors to murder, rape and other nasty things. In back rooms, toilets and cruising areas you have a safety back up as your friends are not far away but inviting strangers back to your dwelling place invites all kinds of freaks in from thieves to murderers.

Oh I agree In some respects, but those who use Grindr in a less naive way can at least 'screen' people and arrange to meet in a busy place. To be honest it's all complete filth and part of the gay community I really detest.

They don't though in general. Most hook ups are at night and in peoples homes.

Plenty of F "n" G goes on which is not a good idea.

Stephen Fry said he had it on his own iPhone in the Top Gear studio...can't remember if he said he did a quick scan of the audience before his interview though.
