An insurance industry source told the Daily Mirror: "Chris has taken out a very high level of cover to protect him in the event of any kind of facial injury."A million sounds like a lot of money but if he was in anyway disfigured it could have a serious impact on his livelihood."His income could plummet so he has to have enough cash to keep him going for a long time."EastEnders insiders said Chris was left badly shaken by the attack on Ray, who plays wannabe club DJ Ronny Ferreira. His policy protects him from any facial wound that could have a negative impact on his career.A show source said: "Chris is the first cast member to take out this policy but he certainly won't be the last."He's seen as one of the BBC's hottest talents so they're fully behind his decision."

Jesus If the BBC see him as one of their hottest talents God help them.

Wouldn't that be like getting car insurance after your car got written of.

You know this could actually make the little git more of a target when you think about it.. And what a shame that would be.

Good grief. It would help if he actually had a DECENT face to start with instead of looking like this shrunken-headed weasel-faced imbecile.

Get this thing OFF our screens.

I find this unbelievable. Do the Beeb really consider Christopher as one of their hottest talents? And the face insurance policy is too laughable for words.

bugger. so if I actually did belt him in the face, i'd only be lining his pockets. bollocks.

...well I only think he really needs a tan. He's so pale he looks like the life has been drained from his body. He's the walking dead. He's death incarnate. No wonder you don't see Nana in many scenes with him... at her age she's probably trying to give him a wide birth.

Sorry, am I missing something here - he actually wants to KEEP his face looking like that

Funnily enough, I saw the preview of the new bbc thing last night 'A thing called Love' (or similar) and it features Paul Nicholls - now THERE was a legitamate hearthrob - who could actually act as well, I'd have worn a tin foil hat for him any day of the week . Just how far have EE fallen when Slapped Arse Face is their modern day equivilant
