The repeats of Dad's Army on BBC 2 on Saturday nights are currently delivering a steady 2 million every week. The episode on September 24 registered 2.07 million (BARB)

Interesting... It would certainly make sense (and probably be a darn sight cheaper) for the BBC to put some tried and tested classic comedy repeats in that slot rather than 'investing' in crud like Don't Scare the Hare.

agreed, when I was younger I watched plenty of Dads Army, Are You Being Served and Allo Allo, I believe in the USA such a line up is called PBS.

Can see this France v Wales rugby match peaking high right around now at 10.30-1045. Wales just need to score and they are in the final, hitting the post before was very unfortunate. Unlucky that ball dropped below the crossbar.

Wales are out! Better luck next time guys.

I Think it will get 3-4m and a 7m peek

I think despite the number of adverts many will still timeshift.
But I do think they need to look to optimise their adverts - make sure theres none that are just very annoying. But that has to go hand in hand with the script tbh.

Look at Doctor Who - no adverts - massive timeshift, massive iplayer.
One thing ITV WILL be happy about is Downton is Christmas DVD gold - its other revenues from their programming they really need to find.

I imagine ITV will be slotting in a Betty Driver tribute in the next week after the very sad news this morning.

I wouldn't be surprised if this week's edition of High Stakes is pulled in favour of The Betty Driver Story which first aired in February - also on a Tuesday - and had 3.71m (15.2%) in that slot.

When will the ratings be released?

Anybody know why there's no ratings in yet?

It's a weekend, ratings are normally posted later at weekends by DS.

Every time anyone asks about when ratings will be released, they get delayed by another 15 minutes. Just bear that mind.

It was a question. You know, as this is a ratings thread. So I was curious why there were not any ratings yet.

Are you telling me off for just asking a question?

Is there a reason for the ratings being delayed?

It's 2pm!

Apparently they're going to continue to air Charlie's Angels.

Reports are that ABC will air the remaining four episodes Thursday 8PM and then likely replace it with Wipeout which is coming ever closer to just airing 52 weeks of the year.

I suspect if Rules gets another season it'll be as a midseason replacement. Its a solid little utility player for CBS that they can schedule just about anywhere and its good to have a show like that on the bench.

I think it's them adding the extra 15 minute to shows (thanks OFCOM for opening that loophole) to get the ad break which irritates - had they just been allowed the extra break within the hour I think people would just quickly put up with it as they did when it went from 2 to 3 a decade ago. I also think it's short sighted as surely when considering international sales and repeat runs it's better to have a show which fits into 60 minutes with ads rather than an awkward 75 minute product - though I wouldn't be surprised if episodes are edited for time to air abroad.

The way ITV has been lately I doubt they'd even pull an underperforming game show for a tribute to the Queen!

Just as everyone predicted when Charlie's Angels was announced. Another flop for C4 to burn off then - just as everyone predicted too.

If someone knows the ratings of the Merlin repeats on Fridays (BBC3), please, share them. Or the AI of the first two episodes.
Thanks in advance! The BARB website didn't help.

01/10 - 88
08/10 - 90

The highest AI for the week ending 9th October was Alex: A Life Fast Forward and Downton Abbey which had 92. And I'm not telling you what the lowest AI was, you should all already know the answer.

Episode 1 of Merlin had a BBC3 repeat overnight rating of 333k (1.6%) on 7/10/11. I haven't got Episode 2 repeat overnight rating yet.

The AIs have been:

Episode 1: 88
Episode 2: 90

Episode 2 was the 4th highest AI of the week from all terrestrial channels. Top 3 were: Alex: A Life Fast Forward (92), Downton Abbey (92), Mrs Brown's Boys (90).
