ITV must be looking forward to next year when they can ditch the Thursday Corrie. It doesn't perform well enough - especially when the BBC throw up a strong hour-long opponent.
Very good for all of BBC pre-watershed, actually. The One Show seems to be recording much higher shares than a few weeks previously (I know EE helps on Tue and Thurs). I wonder whether thats the Strictly effect coming into play with Alex Jones, and presumably, a lot of discussion. Watchdog has also been on a real roll in that 8pm slot - 20% against the ITV soap double is a huge result. After a bit of a false start, the hour-long format really has hit its stride.
A bit of a shame, really, after all that good news, that Hidden recorded quite an uninspiring figure for it's second episode. Is it me, or do all these ambitious "conspiracy thrillers" usually end up struggling?

God, STV are useless. They think a scottish accent, or sticking a tartan on something, will make Scottish viewers tune in. Parochial, condescending idiots. To axe something so you can replace it with High Stakes, things must be bad.

It was just a one-off catch-up (or "check-up"!) with the original cast of Doctors. Not watched it yet, so I'm not sure how much original material there was. In any case, I don't think it's indicative of how the new series will rate. That series is due at the beginning of next year, with a new set of Doctors.
