Delta Goodrem has confirmed she will release the first single this year from her highly-anticipated, forthcoming second album. The amazing 'Out Of The Blue' hits Australian radio on Friday, September 24 (next two weeks in the UK) and is currently initially sheduled for release in the UK on October 18th...but this is to be confirmed...

Her new album is also currently pencilled in for a November 1st release. Delta Goodrem is by far and away the best singer in the world!!!!!!!!!!! An amazing woman who has battled cancer for ages, and no doubt a great role model especially compared to all the trashy American female singers out there.

I can't wait!

P.S. She's also been nominated for 4 awards at this years ARIAs to be held in Sydney on Sunday, October 17.

Delta's nominated categories are:

Best Female Artist
Best Pop Release - 'Not Me, Not I'
Highest Selling Single - 'Predictable'
Highest Selling Album - 'Innocent Eyes'

great!, i cant wait for it. all of her songs are fantastic.

I hope it's a success. I liked all her songs, Lost without you the least, but it was still good. She sounds like the type of artist who could really work more now as there are more, popular mellow songs out by the likes of Keane, Maroon 5, Katie Melua and Norah Jones who ar all highly credible artists.

The only problem is she hasn't left it long before releasing another album. She should have taken more time on it, especially with what she's had to go through.

Well actually most artists usually release their 2nd album within 15 months of their debut.

Delta Goodrem released "Innocent Eyes" in March 2003 in Australia....so thats longer than 18 months...so its quite normal..plus theres the fact most artists want to keep their fans happy without making them wait too long for the next album.

The single and album have been put back for UK release and Delta has confirmed she will release a new single entitled 'Out Of The Blue' on November 8th.

Album name now confirmed too!

'Out Of The Blue' is the first single to be taken from Delta's anticipated second album 'Mistaken Identity' - out on November 22nd.

Anybody seen her video, she has lost all her beautiful curly hair and now has a horrible short hair cut.

Long hair or short , she still looks georgous to me.

OK, I understand she lost her hair, but the way its been cut now has made her look incredibly boyish.... A big part of her appeal was her soft feminine looks. Still, good to see she is beating the disease even though I'm not a huge fan of her music.

Hair only grows about 10cm a year. It will take her about 3 years to have long hair again unless she gets fake hair (extensions).

To think Delta looks 40 from watching the video must mean theres something up with your set. She's 20 years old and granted she does look a little older in it, but only about 3 or 4 years older.
