Kanye West appreciation thread...

Yes, firstly I'll start by acknowledging that he may not be everyone's cup of tea (behaviour wise).

However from College Dropout through to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (don't really rate Watch The Throne)... the guys delivered some fantastic music.

It's hard to even say which album of his I like most, they're all brilliant. At gunpoint I'd go with MBDTF.

Well I love the guy as he was partly responsible for helping Taylor Swift become one of the biggest stars on the planet

One downside to his legacy of great Hip-Hop.
And you mean one of the biggest stars in the US, not the planet.

I think MBDTF deserves AOTY next year. No other album has been as insanely epic as that one.

About time there was a thread for him! He may act like an idiot, but I've pretty much liked all his albums. He's a great artist.

Can't really route for some of his behaviour, I'll hold my hands up to that (although I DO agree with his VMA outburst, Beyoncé deserved to win easily, I know his method was all wrong but I agree with him still ).

But musically the man is a certifiable genius. College Dropout and Late Registration are brilliant albums, I wasn't too big a fan of 808s and Heartbreak personally, always saw that as the weak album if there was to be one. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is my favourite work of his to date - every single song is awesome, great production and guests, commerically I think that album is seriously under-appreciated, it should be getting as much love and media backing as Adele's 21 receives.

Watch The Throne is an okay album, step down from MBDTF. LOVE Otis and No Church in the Wild from that album though. And Lift Off (as a Beyoncé fan it's mandatory )

I love a lot of his hits! i dont have any of his album however. And his attitude is a bit..."meh" but there is no denying he can make a CHOOOON happen from thin air!

I think i must seek out some of his stuff. His recent album with Jay Z has a lot of stuff going for it too and acclaim too

He's great.I don't personally like his diction and his voice and I can't relate to him, but I appreciate him for being creative and trying to take hip hop a step further. He just has a whole different vibe that the hip hop community hadn't seen before. That's great. His latest album does not sound like that much of a masterpiece to me and I think it's overcomplicated, overproduced and try-hard, but his talent is undeniable.

'WTT' is not too far from trash, though Poor lyrics, bad flows, hardly any real rapping. It's all about the beats. That said, the beat of 'Niggas In Paris' SLAYS me!!!

Anyway, I'll be checking for his next solo album
