Hoorah!!! So I am not the only person who can't stand this lousy 'actress'. I did like her to start with but now I simply can't stand her and there have been so many times where her mere presence on screen irritates me so much I have no choice but to swtich off.....
Also the comments about her having her head up her own arse I am inclined to agree with. I have seen her in TV interviews before and I have noticed that she does indeed come across with the attitude that she thinks she is better than everyone else. Just because she hasn't been reported to have made pay-rise demands doesn't mean she isn't big-headed in a different way.
Part of the problem is probably also because she (and the Platts in general) have had way to much screen time. If you think about it over the past couple of years she has been involved in practically every big storyline going. There are lots of other actresses on the show who are way better than her if only they were given the same chance.
I personally find that Tina brings down the performance of whoever she is with because she is such a poor performer. For example Candice is a much better character to watch when she is with the likes of Audrey, Maria and Fizz but becomes a pain in the arse when she is with Sarah. The same with Todd, he was okay until he got stuck with her.
Another thing that really annoys me is the way she emphasises the end of every sentence, especially if it ends in 'ing'. She's like "LooKING-UH" "thinKING-UH" She does absolutely nothing for Coronation Street, it's about time they gave the character a rest for a bit and gave others a chance.
