I think they're heading for disappointment with this. Lightning rarely strikes twice.

Sorry if I am being dim, but where do you think the 'world tour' will likely to be? I am not sure whether to try and get tickets for Manchester on Friday or hold out for later if they are likely to be playing venues a lot nearer to me.
And how much are tickets, do we know yet?

The World Tour might not even include any more British dates so i'd go for the Manchester ones, you can always sell them if they announce other dates.

Expect tickets to be about £50 with booking fees.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6itF...ailpage#t=641s - Mani doesn't take too kindly to the question the bloke from DigitalSpy asks.

As for the drugs and violence comment earlier, there are going to be about 70k at each gig in Manchester. That's the same amount of people as live in a good size town. Of course there is going to be drug taking and some violence there. Anyway, if enough people are on the much fabled '£10 pills' they won't be fighting, just dancing and having a great time.

Tickets are £55.

I'll definitely be at the Saturday Heaton Park, hoping for some UK dates on the tour afterwards in smaller venues though.

If they nail it and get it spot on it'll be amazing.

For reunions, they'll have to do something pretty special to top Pulp at Brixton this year. That was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

The main "drug" causing the violence will be - as ever - alcohol, and not anyone taking anything else. I'd love the police to ban alcohol and allow drugs personally.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on that one.

You don't see people on decent eccys stabbing each other.

Well over £60 with booking fee and postage. Shame they are charging so much considering they aren't doing it for the money.

Considering it's an all dayer so will have another 3 or 4 bands on the bill it is pretty decent value for money IMO.

I don't begrudge them the money - especially Reni - they really got screwed over by their management and hardly made anything first time around. They should have made a fortune from their first album alone.

Plus the price should mean the really keen fans are more likely to get tickets - fingers crossed

Anyone else get tickets? I managed to get for the Friday. Up to 3 nights now! Even if King Monkey's voice is stronger now he isn't smoking I don't know if he'll be able to keep it strong for 3 gigs in a row.

I do wish that some tickets for 'big gigs' would go on sale at records shops as used to happen instead of everything being done over the phone or online.

Got 4 tickets for the Friday.

Don't know whether I'm just lucky but I've never failed to get tickets for a big gig yet.

Hoping for some good support bands too.

80% of those who bought tickets today have never even heard of the stones roses I wager. Just another case of media hype forcing the gullible to jump aboard a very expensive band wagon.

I tried to get some, and failed

Lots have turned up on ebay already, I have words for these people but I may get a ban.....

Suffice to say that real fans miss out because of greedy people.

I bought 10 pairs and plan to put them on ebay. There will be some desperate mugs no doubt.

A good day at the office.

What exactly are you basing that assertion on?
