Oooh..
Of course they always say "step down", when in fact she likely to have been pushed into it. Anyway, best news that show has had all year. Just don't let her near any of the other soaps please! |

This is great news and not before time. I'm sure that whoever takes over from Berridge can't be any worse than she was.
Let's hope the new producer brings back alot of the old characters and gets rid of the Farriera's for starters, that is one of the biggest things the new producer needs to do when he/she takes over. |

Hopefully this'll mean Mal Young is going too.
Or he probably sacrificed her to save his own skin. |

Strange...I wonder why the guardian had it before bbc? I know bbc are always last to break a story, but you'd think they'd have had inside knowledge of this one...

James the bad patch was due mainly to her. She was the Exec Producer. The slump was her responsibilty and was caused by poor management, dreadful storylines and shoddy acting

Quote from Mal Young:
"Today he said: "This must be the toughest programme-making role on British TV. Louise has done a superb job, overseeing some of the most talked about telly moments of the last three years." Yeah talked about for being utter crap and tedium of the worst kind. Good riddance. "The new executive producer of EastEnders will be Kathleen Hutchison, currently the executive producer of BBC1's highly successful Holby City. " |
