The new producer unfortunately won't get rid of Chris Parker. Sure he is dead wood cant act and makes me cringe but during a slump in the shows popularity they will keep actors who are perceived to be popular. Besides the fanmail thing which I also heard, just look at his performance on Strictly Come Dancing, runner up despite being total crap. Remember his Paso Doble?
As for the Ferreras I would definately get rid of Tariq and Ronnie, who are virtually the same character, and whose acting skills are dubious. Put the other 3 on a probation period. Ash is generally well liked, All New Kareena shows promise, particularly if they are getting her more involved the Millers and Angie's Den. Adi as a character has been badly done to by the writers who have failed to integrate him at all with other characters or give him anything interesting to say or do.
Personally I would love to see the back of that cardigan wearing misery Pauline, I don't care what anyone says about the Fowlers being the back bone of the show. Have you noticed how former cast members always single her out for criticism too Wendy Richard that is for being up her own arse and thinking she owns the place?

As for comebacks I really hope the bring back Grant, Peggy mentioned him "When Grant's back" sounds like its an idea they could be working on.

Hhhmmm yes I'm as pleased as anyone about LB finally leaving her office in Elstree but I'm not jumping for joy just yet as it's too early to say what effect this new Producer will have on the show.

For a start, I really do think that the arrogance of Mal Young is partly to blame for Eastenders slump, he's a firm believer in bombastic storylines over character development and I think we'll continue to see storylines along the lines of the fair ground disaster in the new producers reign.

Now I don't watch Holby City, lifes too short to watch soap after soap after soap but I know that it has been doing pretty well in the ratings so she obviously has a good knack of developing strong characters and addictive storylines but will this work for Eastenders? Personally, I'd like to of seen a non Mal Young groupie bought in to take over the show (remember Mal Young is in charge of Holby City as well) the guy who does The Bill seems to have a winning touch and wouldn't it have been great if they'd persuaded one of the Corrie team to come on board?

Anyway let's wait and see. Remember it's tradition that hand overs between new producers result in a truly absymal three months of storylines so prepare for the worse. They'll be no news on axeings for a while too, as the new producer will need to take stock and work out what she wants to do on the show over the next twelve months. However I think at least half of the Dulleries will be axed and I'm convinced that the new Producer is pissed as hell that The Millers have been bought in at a time when she'll want to stamp her own authority on the show.

It has more are less been confirmed the Farreira's will be leaving thank god as Kathleen has said she has lots of new characters planned and for new characters there has to be an axe and as the Farreira's are least popular place your bets on who will go!

How has it been confirmed? Has there been an official announcement? We might have to wait a while until the new person settles in. I think that a few Ferrerias and maybe Sasha will go. I'd say the Millers are safe for now, I hope rumours of derek dying and Beale twins recast are true, only derek death means yet more whinging from Pauline, which I really won't be watching. I'm sure a new love interest for Alfie will emerge what with Jessie Wallace going for a year. Gary Beadle (Paul) is meant to be leaving isn't he? I bet they bring in a Home And Away-esque brood of different foster kids for patrick and yolande or else axe them too. These kids would brook hostility from the like of Ian and one of them would probably strike up a Romeo and Juliet style romance with a Beale twin.
I hope Kate Mitchell is axed, her character is a complete spare part and seems to just be hanging around waiting for the return of Phil before having a massive row over Louise and then leaving anyway. She isn't really connected with anyone bar Chrissie whose husband she shagged, friends with Ian, vague friends with Sharon, she's just taking up space.

Chris Parker gets more fan mail than any other soap star. I shouldn't imagine he's in the slightest bit worried. And a lot of the others are so full of themselves that they probably think the same.

Oh and she was a producer on The Bill - i'm guessing this was pre Marquess era - but i'm not sure.

What i want to know is what projects she worked on before she became one of the big wigs because sometimes often peoples earlier or independant work is the best insight into what they are really about.
