If you leave it on standby, then it should automatically download the latest version of the software within at most 24 hours and probably much sooner.

1, Does the box at present work OK. Record etc?
If not get a competent person to change power supply capacitors. Then,
2, Do a complete channel rescan update. Then,
3, Confirm all multiplexes are being received at good signal (green) and good quality (green). Then
4, Put box into standby and wait an hour automatic update should happen. Then
5, Switch on and check new update. If not Bin box.

Just bought on EBAY a new one - yes unbelievable, V 2.81
I am convinced as remote has no sign of use, box went through
welcome & set up message etc.

OAD has not yet occurred - been on air since Saturday are there any other ways of obtaining & uploading the software?
