I shouldn't think he's worried. Alfie is/(was/could be again) a good character, irrespective of how big a tosser Shane Richie is.

Yes sure they do Shane - keep taking the tablets”

PMSL! I think he and LB have lived in their own little universe where EE is loved by everyone and that Corrie bows down to EE.

There are several posters on here who live in that universe

Simple Answer - which i'm suprised Alan didn't mention earlier: OVER PAID

and the whole celebrity scene (whether you are A list or Z list) has a capital and that is London and they are far more likely to be out and about than other soap actors.

Alan, I shall keep an eye out, and after the 4 months, by the end of January, we'll see if you've moved to planet EE, but I very much doubt it.

I think he must have the memory of a goldfish ; a few years ago he was the toast of light entertainment, he had quiz shows, comedy shows and producers knocking down his door .... then it all went to his sizeable head, he got arrogant, started shagging around, was unveiled in the press as a love rat, his popularity dropped sharply, the contracts dried up, his wife understandably divorced him and he went bankrupt. And descended into oblivion.

A few years down the line, EE pick him up, dust him off, give him the easiest job in the world (ie act like yourself but more pleasant), pay him thousands to do it and revive his career in one stroke.

His thanks for this? to bite the hand that feeds him. To become arrogant again, appear to be the centre of his own world and to go around telling everyone tht he is destined for Hollywood

Like I say ...... memory of a goldfish.

Judging by the performance of his film 'Shoreditch' I think that phonecall from Hollywood may be a bit longer coming then he originally thought. This is a typical review:

"Tragic is the only word to describe this. If the 1930s dialogue is unbelievable (were expressions like "F**kweed", "F**k off out of my face", or "Chill out a little" really common currency in 1939?), the cast appear equally unconvinced throughout. "Oh Butterfly, I've fallen in love with you", says Richie's Hinkman, with all the conviction of a barman noting that the barrel needs changing. Richardson's demeanour is less 'sultry' that simply drugged. Thank gawd then, for two saving graces: that Tyler is lovely to look at (for really, nothing and nobody else here is) and that it all ends so abruptly. "

How on earth can you rubbish Shane Ritchie when he has been in such blockbusters as 'Shoreditch'
