Really not a fan of the quorn produce. I think the meat free own-branded stuff from Asda and Sainsburys is far nicer than Quorn stuff. For me it has a really odd after taste.

I think they're all right. They make a decent fish finger sandwich.

I don't mind them. Prefer them fried than grilled though as otherwise they're a bit dry

I will never understand products like this.

If you like the taste of fish, eat fish!!

If you have ethical objections, eat proper veggie food not fake flesh!!!

Please do give us your opinion when you've tried them, zoepaulpenny, and post back here.

I might keep a look out for them since there seem to be relatively few fish alternatives whereas there are plenty of vegetarian alternatives to meat, sausages, bacon, chicken, etc.

Isn't Quorns Fish Fingers kind of misleading considering that its called fish fingers but it doesn't contain any fish. Why not call it Quorn flake fingers?

I will never understand that some people don't understand products like this.

For people who may have ethical objections to industrial meat production it's quite simple: it doesn't contain meat.

Not so hard to understand, is it?

I like fishfinger sandwiches but I don't eat meat.

Someone makes fish-less fingers that taste sort of like fishfingers but don't contain any dead fish.

Problem solved!

They're actually called 'Fish-less Fingers' so, no, not misleading at all.

I understand that this is how these appalling non-foods are marketed, but if you have a strong belief in vegetarianism they are a contradiction in terms. These products (like fake bacon, chicken, etc) still take flesh-eating to be the norm. A committed vegetarian should cook & eat genuinely veggie food, which (and I say this as a carnivore) can be absolutely delicious and 1000 times more satisfying and nutritious than manufactured crap like quorn.

I always hate when people try to tell others what they should eat, these things may not be to your taste but some people will love them or they wouldn't make them. I will if they are the right price try them next time I see them. If I like them I will buy them again if I don't I won't but I won't be telling anyone else they should or should not eat them.

I don't understand these meat substitute things because if you want to eat something that tastes like a fish then eat a fish and if your a vegetarian and you want to eat something that's like a fish but you don't want to eat a dead fish then eat a carrot.

Does a carrot taste like fish?

If an non-meat alternative could be made that was indistinguishable from real fish the over-fishing and fish-stock issue we currently have would be solved.

That's not a bad thing, is it?

As a vegetarian I don't feel conflicted about eating fish-less fish(ish)-tasting fingers since THEY DON'T CONTAIN ANY FISH.

Although I entirely 100% agree with you, the OP is not interested in your views on this. They just want to know what other people think of the products.

No they won't because it is not fish, so it won't be a fish finger sandwich.

No but why does a vegetarian need to eat something that tastes like a fish?
If they are vegetarians shouldn't they just eat vegetables, fruits and nuts?
