Major RGB problem
I have a Sony Triniton tv kv14. I'm having very big problems recieving a decent RGB signal from my Daewoo Setpal box. I need to route it through a scart selection box. I have had two Setpals and two different scart selection boxes and am starting to think that it may be my TV. The odd thing is that when I pass it through my video recorder I can get an RGB relay. It most deffinately is an RGB signal.
The picture I am getting is terrible and for some reason when I press the teletext or the menu button I see RGB shining through. Please see these images... An attempted RGB Picture. RGB shining through a Menu screen. |

Have you tried to connect something direct to the TV without going through anything else (video or switchbox). If the RGB picture is OK by this method then it's not the TV. I've come across switch boxes that only allow one RGB picture and that can "dominate" or interfere with any other connection made to the switch box if that equipment is on at the same time but you are watching something else.
If the problem persists then I would a say it's almost certainly the TV. |
