From Media Guardian...

'10.30am: EastEnders has fallen to a new low with just 6.2m tuning in last night, the day its executive producer quit. More soon...'

To tell the truth I haven't actually watched EEs for about two months and have just been keeping up with it here.

I've watched it since the start and was a great fan but I just can't be bothered with it now.

Well it was pretty run of the mill dull stuff last night, bigger and better things were happening in the Dales. Although the scene between Jane and Rosie was good. Proof LB did us all a favour yesterday.

Jane was great!! lol, I didn't think it was too bad. I was shouting at Sarag "don't you get it, don't act desperate it really puts men off!". If I start shouting at a character it shows I care! Didn't think it was too bad! Anyways, as we said before, ratings really mean nothing.

Who wanted to slap Ronnie last night? Kick him out if he refuses to pay his way!

I forgot EE was on last night, just stuck with Edale, seems like a lot of others did the same.

I don't like this Sarah/Martin stuff, I know he's dimwitted, but is he really THAT dimwitted? And the fact that we know how it all ends - in fact, we knew how it ended before it even started thanks to the fabulous EE publicity machine - makes it all a waste of time.

Yeah, we know exactly what's going to happen. But he's so pathetic I wanted to just switch off. At least he told her to pee off - but next episode he'll be agreeing to meet her again and trying the 'let her down gently' approach. EE tends to just regurgitate the same old scenes at the moment.

Eastenders is no were near finished Here's some stats from the week before and they are official

Tue 14th Sep

EastEnders - BBC 1 (9.6m)

Emmerdale - ITV (7.4m)

Or how about these stats to 'prove' Corrie is on its last legs. I could write a shock horror press story on this if I had that agenda in mind...

Fri 17th Sep

EastEnders - BBC1 (10.6m)

Coronation Street - ITV (9.9m)

Emmerdale - ITV (7.7m)

Never mind about statistics - the storylines show EE is on its last legs.

Personally, I hope it recovers, but I haven't seen much sign of it yet.

I tend to watch out of habit - and the lack of anything else decent to watch while I'm eating my dinner. If one of the other channels put something on that was competition (like Emmerdale last night) you wouldn't catch me watching it at 7.30.

I'm a little surprised the figures were so low last night as there have been many episodes that were way way worse than that one. The Miller kids were good as was the stand off scene with Jane Ian and their mum.
Martin needs a good kick up the ass though. Was he dropped on his head when he was a baby? He must have been to excuse this level of stupidity. Sarah is obvioulsy a bunny boiler and he shouldn't have gone near her once he had escaped her clutches the first time.
Maybe the ratings were down because Emmerdale was on for so long and had a wedding and also has the Kathy Bates story brewing at the mo.

As usual with figures and statistics - anyone can pull them out of a hat to suit their own pont of view. EE figures always include the figures for the omnibus edition

Loopy stop being so childish, stats and figures mean nout! The fact of the matter is in regard quality of storylines and acting, Corrie is Streets ahead of EastEnders, with Emmerdale in 2nd place.

Fair enough, you're batting for ee, but by saying plain daft things like "Corrie is on its last legs", you won't be taken seriously.
