She auditioned because...?
She was heartbroken getting kicked out because...?
She's very young so I'll let her off. I'm glad she is going to be yet another credible artist that would be embarrassed by any association with the X Factor.

Haha, sour grapes. Why put yourself through all that then turn round and say you're glad you won't be a manufactured popstar?! If she was still in it she would probably be loving it.

Considering her snotty attitude since,i think a lot of people are glad she was axed.

Amelia who?

Your 15 minutes is up. Next!

I was disappointed when she was axed because she's a talented vocalist, but now I'm just disappointed at her post-X Factor attitude. She seems to think she's superior to most of the remaining contestants and is now running around with the Matt Cardle mouth of "I BE CREDIBLE ARTIST YES?"

Oh dear, she isn't handling this well at all. But I don't think I could have behaved with too much more grace when I was 16...

Hmm, she's not really coming across well after the show at all.

If she'd said something like "I was gutted to be sent home from XF, I enjoyed the experience and really wish I'd had the chance to show the public what I can do... but I'm upbeat and optimistic about the future and can't wait to do my own thing" then it would be fine.

Anyway she's young and naive, and what she's said may well have been taken out of context.

She's learned a valuable lesson about life - [music] reality TV shows have found very few credible artists since their conception [Leona and Alexandra withstanding, X Factor wise].

I liked Amelia.

But theres nothing worse than a sore loser.

So I guess she would have pulled out anyway even if she hadn't been given the boot, in the name of "not wanting to be manufactured"??? Me thinks not

I know she's only 16 but you would think somebody responsible around her (like her parents) would advise her that these kind of comments just make her sound bitter and twisted. I'm personally glad she's gone.

I do think she has a right to feel aggrieved as she was most definately better than Sophie, and contravercially Misha in my opinion. My favourite is probably Janet, but Amilia blew them all away at the judges houses, even Janet.

You have to stop and ask yourself who picks the songs, staging and outfits. It is extremely easy for the show to make someone look better than others. Michael Jackson's Beat It was a rediculously bad song for a 19 year old girl, and she didn't do a bad song considering.

I think what Amelia's said is factually correct, but she's lacking in diplomacy. So far since she left the show she's been quoted as saying a few things that have made her seem very entitled, and perhaps she needs to hide that attitude a bit. She probably is quite capable of getting work on the strength of her XF exposure.

Reading between the lines I no longer think it was Kelly Rowlands choice to let Amilia go, I believe it was Simon Cowel / management that had the last say!

Only the made a big mistake.

Umm the only bitter and sour grapes are that article. What kinda professional article says someone has "sour grapes" within the first line?? Good on her for telling the truth.

I hope she makes it and does well for herself - she was blatantly screwed over by the producers twist.

If Amelia was intending to make it on her own, why did she go in for X-Factor...and how does that square with her comment (in another article) about auditioning again next year if her career hasn't taken off by then?

Why are all of these "credible artists" lowering themselves by going on The X Factor in the first place?

Oh I'd wager Amelia would give her right arm to be back on the live show.

Yes, as much as I like Sophie I have to agree that Amelia was a big favourite of the public as well! I loved Amelia and I can see why she feels so aggrieved at the moment, especially as she is only 16! Her hopes were built up only to be torn away from her, that is very hard for a 16 year old to take!

Amelia should still be in the contest, without a doubt!

I think we forget that she and Janet are only 16 and people on this forum can be quite hard on them. She has an ok voice and she is well known now after x factor. I think she was the weakest in the girls category but good luck to her in the future.
