The mambo??? Never been done on strictly as an individual dance. Only a group. Would be a welcome addition though IMO. Always liked it on DWTS!

Great. Not. Another new dance that is out of the pros knowledge area . I'd rather they kept it to the dances that the pros are knowledgeable on. Also last year the contestants reaching the final hadn't done every dance (and they were original ballroom/latin dances (Matt - slow waltz, Kara - samba)). The same will happen this year if they introduce another new dance and I'd rather they demonstrated that they can do all the 10 ballroom and latin dances. Plus the mambo looks really similar to salsa especially in the basic steps.
Hopefully the info is a mis-print especially as Russell has tweeted that he has tango.

I said Mambo in the original topic because of the group Mambo the professionals did. It was speculative.

It'll so be Tango/Charleston again.

Hmmm, I'm another who hopes the Mambo talk is pure speculation, mainly because, as someone said above, Mambo is very similar to Salsa. In fact, isn't Salsa a derivative of Mambo? I could swear some of Salsa's most basic steps are Mambo steps...

If Mambo is one of the dances, then expect Jason/Kristina to top the leaderboard and shine! She specialises in Mambo too I'm pretty sure, or defninitely has more experience of it than the other pro's, so we can be guaranteed one great Mambo

She does indeed specialist in mambo - when she joined the show with Brian they did an amazing mambo as a show dance thingy (sorry, not a technical term)

Maybe one could then stay at home with Kara to stop all the newspaper's bleating on how jealous she is of him on Holly...

Which would allow the other a lot more saucy material XD

Or maybe send Holly to meet Kara and have a proper catfight (or more likely, a good giggle about what Artem's like when he gets strict/starts to cry) and let the two Artems dance together.
