Its X Factor, its a popularity contest not a talent contest.

And only 14 too. Damn [and she was obviously nervous here too].

If only Janet had half her talent!

She has a great voice, but I wouldn't say she blows the competition away. It's all about the reverb.

There is loads of post-production in every XF USA clip I've seen too.

We'll see what happens once the live shows start and they can't autotune the vocals.

I think the US X Factor has definitely got some good talent, but it's missing the entertainment factor. It's all so overbearing and try-hard. They tried to incorporate some humour via Paula in the auditions, but it felt completely scripted. Our show gets away with the theatrics because it's all so panto and obviously Saturday Night TV, whereas the US version has been amped up to the max and just lacks the charm.

She doesnt and I thought she was good for 14 but boring! USA is still all about the story and a sure fix also but at least whichever one they choose will be able to sing

You guys do realise, the whole judges house part in the US version, was auto tuned. Its so bvious, when you watch the show. Its not gonna make that big of a fuss in the US, because people dont scrutinize everything like they do here in the UK. Like when they had auto tune last year, it was a big scandal, all over the newspapers. But over there, people probably wont even notice.

My point is, a lot of them will sound much better than they really are, compared to the UK kids; in the judges house.

Listen to Sarah McLachlan and youll see where she copied the voice from... distinct my arse! but yeah good for that age.

as someone pointed out ya it is autotuned and all that, but still all in all,its her voice and shes a lovely singer in my opinion of course, and what someone else said about her copying sarah mclachlan..imo she has a similar style..but for 14 and taking inspiration from someone like sarah mclachlan rather than some pop whore like rhianna, that can only be a positive thing.good on her..as she gets older she will only get better and find her voice and niche.
