I know i'm in a minority when I say I actually enjoy them but who sounded the best tonight?

Credit to Sophie because I think she sounded by far the best and possibly Janet. I'm not usually a fan but it was interesting as the song is more upbeat.

Also, I wish we'd have a week where all contestants have to sing up beat songs as that's what I felt made the show a bit dire on Saturday. I reckon they could all pull it off quite well.

I don't agree about the talent being the worst this year, I just think some song choices have been pretty horrendous.

The all sounded pretty poor really and unconvincing in their miming, especially Johnny and Frankie.

I agree about Sophie and Janet.
Sophie sounded great singing something with a bit more attitude rather than the bland stuff she's been given.
Janet said she's got an upbeat number up her sleeve for her own performances, so I can't wait for that.

I wish they wouldn't mime though. Even if it would sound awful, at least it would give us something else to really judge them on, rather than it being just a pointless show-filler.

I guess they mime to save themselves for their main performance but it still seems odd to me
I do see a point to it to a certain extent
