What does everyone think of the album?

I'm listening to it on Spotify and love it!

AKA...Broken Arrow
Simple Game Of Genius
If I Had A Gun
Stranded On The Wrong Beach

Are my favs. I think Stop The Clocks and Record Machine could have both been produced better. Less heavy on the drums and strings, and less reverb on Noel's voice.

Years ago he wrote a track for The X-Files Movie album, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Og5tphElDw , you can certainly hear elements of this in his new album.

I have only listened once so far but....usual rubbish Noel lyrics ( apart from the ones borrowed from The Beatles ), usual Beatles influenced music, more than a nod to the oasis back catalog, very little original - but why change a winning formula..I iike it

"The good rebel" was my favourite track on first listen

"The Good Rebel" is not on the album. It's a b side to 'The Death Of You And Me'. It's also IMO total shit, which is good because I was sick of Noel wasting good songs as b sides like he did back in the day. "Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me' should probably have been on the album in place of 'Soldiers Boys And Jesus Freak', but that's splitting hairs.

Oh, neither it is ..I streamed a 12 track version which seems to have two "bonus" tracks.

I agree 90's was the best and on par with the late 60's and the whole 70's.

Maybe Liam and Noel proving post-Oasis that the whole isn't always greater than the sum of its parts

Hopefully it beats Matt Cardle to number one.

So true. Wish I was in the Oasis v Blur era rather than the Matt Cardle v Adele v Susan Boyle era.

This is a great album especially compared to the dross that has so far dominated the AirPlay charts in 2011.

Brill album! number 1 for sure! the only letdown is i wouldve liked more songs with just noel and his acoustic guitar, a bit like talk tonight, masterplan, half the world away. but still a brilliant album

^^ Too right!

If I am honest I was expecting a little more from Noel but that might be down to me being so surprised at Liam and Beady Eye's first album. That being said Noel's album is still very, very good and better than BE's overall. My favourite tracks:

- Dream On
- If I Had A Gun...
- The Death of You And Me
- A.K.A... What A Life
- (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach
- Alone On The Rope (not featured on the album but I still love it )

The other former Oasis tracks are also pretty good but they are too polished imo. I prefer the demos put out under Oasis. Still a very good album though and my second favourite album of the year

Pretty good album IMO. 3 great songs (Everyone's On The Run, AKA..What a Life!, & If I Had A Gun..) and the rest is standard Noel. Too many 'Importance of Being Idle' type songs for me but still alot better than the crap thats out at the moment.

7.5/10

Amzazing Album, very happy with it

I've been waiting since the day Oasis split for Noel's solo album, and here it is

I'm glad he's thrown a few old Oasis demos in there
