Just saw this and as a comic geek it looks AWESOME...

Seriously though I can't believe how many American creators are going to be there, anyone else going to attend.

Why didn't particularly like Thought bubble myself and this one seems to have a far better contingent of American artists and dealers attending. In an interview on another site the organiser says there is lots more to come

A personal favorite of mine, I loved his New Teen Titans, Wonder Woman and super-man runs of the eighties.

Crisis on infinite Earths is also a particular fav of mine.

Right on you wavelength. I devoured Crisis. His run on Wonder Woman was never surpassed in my time reading the title, either. If they'd based the new show on it, it might have stood a chance.

Frankly looks pretty cool, especially as Kapow was disappointing, would be great to get a sketch from Tony Moore

That's an interesting name to grab the headlines. Must admit I thought the website was a bit dodgy when I was checking it out, they seriously need to get someone to edit to copy on there!

Also, the organisers seem to like acting a bit mysteriously...

Website looks fine to me, why are people feeling it isn't.

I am in touch with quite a few of the dealers coming over from America as well as some of the Guests and they are all very excited by the con. Some of the best dealers from America are attending and have told me that there main reason for attending is the organisers who are true Comic people, comic fans, dealers and connesouirs.

I wonder of Millar is worried as Kapow, IMO was awful. If what is being promised by the London Super Comic Con, Kapow will be seriously overshadowed, in which case Millar and Kapow may be starting these rumours themself to discredit it. Just a thought ,but I honestly wouldn' trust rumours, that have no substanc i.e they wouldn't say what they were, on a site dedicated to rival convention organiser

... connesouirs.
Spelling and grammar were the main things I picked up on, plus some of the copy I read looks like it's been written by a 13 year old and some of it (Guest bios) is just inaccurate.

Millar wasn't at TB, it was various other pros making comments who aren't affiliated with any particular con. I was at TB but I'm not the poster from the Millar forum.

You come across as being one of the organisers of LSCC, to be honest. Must admit the Stan Lee announcement got me interested.

I wish, but I'm not If I was the grammer etc would be much better

I didn't say Millar was but did the Pros say the same to you? Do you know the poster over at Miller world? What exactly did the pros say, I have my weekend pass and although it's not much money I would be nice to be prepared if things are a little unsure, although I doubt it

Hi, came across this thread through the benefits of a Google search.

We would be very interested to hear who were the pros casting doubts about the show at Thought Bubble as one of our team was there and did not get any of this feedback. In fact we experienced the opposite. Many creators signed up for the show at that point. These included Gillen, Churchill, Buckingham, Phillips and other creators we have still to announce.

Can anyone provide names and facts with regards to these aspersions?

The only aspersion we have seen was posted by an administrator for Millarworld's forum (who by definition can't be deemed unbiased). He quoted an unnamed source.

The only real criticism we have had to date from Bleeding Cool was linked to the anonymity of the organisers.

We have always thought that who we were is really irrelevant. We are a group of comic enthusiasts who wanted to bring a US style convention to the UK as such our focus has always been the show rather than boosting our egos.

If our anonymity had cast doubts about the quality of the show this should be laid to rest by:

1.) Quality and breadth of the guest list
2.) Quality and range of the dealers attending
3.) Location of show - Excel

gaz2810i - you should not be worried about the show. It will occur and we aim to make it the best show the UK has seen in decades.

There are even more announcements coming up over the coming weeks that will further reinforce this.

With regards to grammar and spelling - I'll have to get QC to review the website again (apologies).

Most of the bios come from the Creators and are posted without alteration so please PM me any comments and we will follow up on them accordingly.
