Hi all,

Does anyone know how to access BBC i-player and ITV-player from overseas? I am soon moving to work abroad and would love to be able to access these channels for my daughter to watch favourites like CBBC and X-factor when we are away!

Some friends have recommended websites that allow live streams of UK TV which is useful; however it is access to recorded programs via these i-players that would be most useful to us due to time zone differences that will make watching live UK TV difficult.

I have been told different things by different people, which include: (1) amending my IP address; (2) adding a new VPN; and / or (3) accessing an internet 'proxy'. The problem is I can't seem to figure any of them out and would really appreciate any advice!!

Or VPN from abroard to any UK Company VPN which does not block use of iPlayer.

Google ExpatShield - just have to put up with it 'hijacking' your browser with its ads. That's why it's free after all...
