Wow a new house. Very apt that we get a new house on the day of the album release. We start a new beginning together.
I'll stick the kettle on and get some nice scented candles burning

I can't believe how amazing the album is!
Nice flow to the songs as well. It's not every day you get to see the birth of a superstar, but last year on XF we did ![]() Starlight is really gonna put Matt on the map. No doubts there. |

I was just replying to this when we moved!!
Afternoon everyone! Just thought i’d come on here to share a little moment I had this afternoon. As a few of the old posters may remember I’m from Matts town of Halstead. I don’t know Matt personally and I’ve never met him , but over the past year I’ve realized that I know lots of people that do know Matt. No one has a bad word to say about him by the way.! Anyway this afternoon I went into my local Sainsburys store in Halstead (its one of the smaller stores). Went up to the music to get my Letters CD only to find there were none left. It had sold out. I tottered off to do my daily shop, and was about to go to the till when I thought I’d just go back and double check the music again. Would you believe it another 2 Letters CDs had mysteriously appeared in what 2 minutes before had been an empty slot. I quickly grabbed one of them and headed to the till. I stood at the till waiting my turn, I glanced back to the albums and spotted a lady go up to the albums and pick the last one up, look at it and put it down again. The lady looked slightly familiar. She then came to stand right behind me in the queue. I was trying to remember where I knew her from, like you do. I turned round to get another look at her, just as she was looking over my shoulder to look at my CD. It was then it clicked. It was Matts mum. We both looked at each other. I didn’t say anything to her and she didn’t say anything back. It all felt a bit weird actually. I was thinking on my way home as a mother she must find it so hard listening to all the stories that are written about her son. I know I would. By the way the album was No1 on the Sainsburys chart with NG in 2nd behind. See ya later x What a lovely story..she must be so proud of her boy...she and Matt's dad should be proud of themselves too for raising such a charming, not to mention supremely talented young man! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nothing from Play or Amazon. So fed up I've bought it from iTunes. But don't know when I can play it as I promised my OH I only bought the one CD. Will have a sneaky listen when kids in bed. MF still hideous as ever I see. Lovely to be in a new house. Last thread was an emotional rollercoster ride.

I'm not surprised you kept quiet - I would probably have done the same.

I wouldn't have known, lol. I'd be like, "What are you looking at!?'
![]() ![]() I just couldn't bring myself to interrupt him. Also Ali was there before the others for a bit and it was only when Pie popped up to say hello and when we pointed him out to her she started talking to him and then Mita and I said hello

Yaaay -house #38. I guessed you must've moved 'cos I was half way through a multi-quote post and suddenly everything got lost and now I can't remember what I was quoting.
oh yes, one of them was about the NG comments - reverse psychology perhaps? Anyway I would imagine NG's a shoe-in for #1 (though you never know!!) and I've no complaints about that at all; really looking forward to hearing his album actually but that'll have to come later, I can only concentrate on one thing at the moment ![]() ![]() Also want to welcome the lovely, one and only, Chosenturbo to her new life on UK shores ((((big welcome hugs))))

At one point at Koko before the gig Matt's dad and Sarah were right behind myself and Mita chatting with Ali and a few others

What's that creaking I hear in the MF? Oh as predicted it's the sound of goalposts being moved.
![]() Now that it's looking likely he will chart in the top 2 albums, suddenly it's gone from he 'won't make the top 10' to an acceptance of 'of course he will chart at number 1/2' but 'hey look at the giant flops that also made these positions, and the generic 'my cat could be number 1' posts. (Without mentioning the appalling sales of said acts like Andy Abraham but anything to make them feel better eh.) Then there's the posters who are saying it doesn't matter what he sells this week, it's all in the longterm, which I completely agree with but those same people weren't saying that last week.
