I got there about 5:15pm cos I was somewhere before that and that was the earliest I could make it. I thought I'd be okay but the queue was really long already by that point. I was surprised how many people were there! I was a bit worried cos I work at 6pm, although I called earlier and said I might be a bit late, didn't tell them why
They let a few people in at a time, I imagined there would be a smaller queue of about 10 people inside but when I finally got in, it was massive! Really panicking about work then. They were playing his CD on a loop so at least there was something nice to listen to while I waited
As usual I didn't say all that I wanted to say and yet again didn't mention that I'd been at 3 of his shows to see if he remembered me, I'm pathetic
However I did say something instead of standing there in silence.
I went up and he was all "Hi babe", there was a bit of a pause which was odd then he asked my name so I told him and spelled it out, as it's an unusual name. He wrote it and asked "Is that right?" and I said yes and he said "Aw that's lovely", heehee
Then I said I loved the album and it was well worth the wait which he seemed to appreciate. He then asked if I wanted a photo so I said yes (had already given my camera to Will), he really knows how to smush his cheek up against yours, hahaha
Then I said thank you and that was it.
It was really nice, I liked that he said my name was lovely and he seemed to like what I said, but I always leave wishing I'd said more, argh, anyway! When i finally got to work (half an hour later than I said
) I had totally been rumbled. The manager had heard it advertised on the radio and put two and two together after I called to say I'd be late. It was a good laugh though, I showed them my photo and my CD. I much prefer my other photo, I look terrible in this one! He looks good though of course.
