If you look at this year's figures - Adele's 21 which has had worldwide success on the level of no album for years sold less than Leona did in her first week.
Matt has sold almost as many albums this week as Joe's Wide Awake sold in total and is in the top 10 first week sellers of the year. That said it's all about momentum. He's done really well this week but he needs to take advantage of the radio 2 thing, get Starlight out there (hopefully with R1 airplay) and then get the tour announced to keep up the profile and keep the sales coming in.
Most albums halve in sales in week 2 but if he can keep selling 25k plus units between now and xmas he'll do very well indeed.
The best thing about this week's sales is that they will hopefully encourage the label to confirm the tour venues and announce the tour within the next couple of weeks and then we can all go and blow loads of cash on concert tickets

I'm trying to go to bed however I felt compelled to come on and agree with this post of yours Wkd .People have got to look at things differently. I was very interested in the Adele and Leona info makes you think.
