Holly would have done really well with Brendan who looks after his partners or James is good at the caring bit.

See any bias towards any group?

Plus I can't believe Pamela will get paid for that rubbish!

PS And the Mods split the thread during the show! ”

I do understand where his dancing dig came through, to be fair, considering Nancy staggers about like she's home from the lash and gets through thanks to the public while he goes home after a respectable Viennese Waltz (which was one that basically stuck to the original criteria rather than stuffing odd lifts/moves into the choreography).

So do I, but it happens every year doesn't it?! The public have to like you and/or your partner or you're out!

I thought he was saying that the show was slanted towards those with an entertainment background though.

I am praying though that Nancy goes home this week. It is humiliating enough to be first out, but to be sent home before Nancy has really got to hurt.

Being behind Fiona Phillips, Kate Garraway and Andrew Castle has to hurt even more considering he works with them.

I thought Katya was the one who kept bringing up the background TBF, though Dan did mention it a couple of times.

My TV signal did break down for a few minutes during Holly and Artem's interview but from what I saw, I thought Artem seemed to be happy enough.

Holly isn't your typical celeb, gushing about how much they love Strictly, but to me they seem to be getting on okay.

That's got to hurt - a lot! But he'll enjoy the ribbing too!

I think Dan raised it and Katya chipped in (but I could be wrong)!

We've not long switched over to digital only on the TV I was watching and the signal was in and out tonight. We've got cable, but it's in the other room - will have to commandeer the other TV for the rest of the series!

I think they probably are getting on okay with one another - and there are clips & stills of them away from the stage where they seem relaxed and happy together - but Holly doesn't exude much enthusiasm for being on Strictly. Now, I'm no fan of gushing but I don't think I've heard her talk about being excited about the training, the clothes, the Saturday nights. None of it. It may well just be her 'style' - but I fear that it won't translate well with the public and no matter how good the dancer is, they need public support behind them to really keep in this competition.

Excuse me, did Kara ever gush? Seriously?

He made a ´happy´ dig towards Holly (´perhaps we will get higher scores if you don´t get your foot trapped´) and he was looking for eye contact with her, but she kept looking in front of her (towards Zoe).

It is blatantly obvious once you start to look for it.

Yes, she loved the whole thing and was positively giddy. She was having the time of her life and was incredibly positive and gushing about nearly everything. But it was sweet and adorable.

She was in love. She wasn't gushy.

Gushing isn't a bad thing (depending on who's doing it).

I will bow to your superior investigative skills. Must watch it more closely.

What absolute Rubbish, when he is asked a question about dancing then he answers it , remember you have to be asked sensible questions , before you can answer them, as he did tonight when asked if he thought Holly would be better suited in a ballroom dance, last year Claudia whilst being light hearted did ask sensible questions about the dance they had done and about the one they were practicing , and he had a very chatty Kara at the side of him , Holly is a very different person , she has a very quiet quirky sense of humour, but admits she is quite shy ,as is Artem. Leave him alone , there is more in life than chatting about shoes and such like .

I liked Pam's bit too....and there is/was something up, with Holly&Art...

Going to miss those legs of Katya.....

Doctor Pam will get it all analysed next week.

Since Artem's lusters playfully and ironically calls him RUBBISH when they are praising him, I shall now PRAISE him and gush over how great Artem's behaviour was in the show.

Wow! What do you know, the beef jerky was so polite and kind to his celeb partner Holly! Excellent! Wow, Artem, the butt-chest hunk is so accomodating to Zoe's questions. Zoe, the nasty horrible woman, only asked shallow things about shoes and irrevalent things about Holly being only good in ballroom. Of course, Artem was so gallant and says that he can protect Holly when in hold, how sweet of him!

I have only just watched it and from reading your comments I was wondering what he said to across that way! And its
like you watched a totally different interview!! I didn't see anything wrong with his attitude of how he came across. He was his usual slightly quiet self. If anything I thought Holly and Zoe were a bit rude to say he needed a translator because he said 'cut up' instead of 'caught up' when refering to Hollys dress mishap
I liked his Kill Kenny/Southpark reference

I started to watch Pammie and had to switch off!
I can't believe they might have her on the show again!

Seemed just fine to me too

I think they are getting on fine as well.

I do think Artem misunderstood Zoe's question though, which would simply be down do his understanding of English. Zoe asked if he thought ballroom suited Holly better (than Latin), but I think he thought she was asking why it is better/easier to dance ballroom - that's why he started talking about being in hold, etc.

And wasn't there a question last year about Artem looking like he was slouching on the sofa? He explained then that he is simply exhausted after a full days training. My guess is that's how he always looks when he is tired or relaxed.

I've rewatched that portion of the interview and it doesn't look like that to me. When Artem's talking about her, she's looking at him. Her eyeline does divert slightly (not anywhere near Zoe, just slightly in front of Artem) but that's only when she's confused about what he said and asks him to repeat it.

They actually look at each other a fair bit throughout the interview. It's not generally direct eye contact, but then not everyone actually likes that.

I saw this as a couple who are very different getting on fine too.

The pros were rehearsing this morning and then there was the first stages of Holly's VW training this afternoon. Kara is rising at 5.30am at present to go off to Shepperton for filming so this must affect Artem's rest. It's not surprising he's feeling tired because he does give all to his work.

Just wonder what Dr Pam makes of Zoe's behaviour when Ian is doing his wednesday warm up, good job she is not sitting down and swinging her legs
