Scart and prog scan
Hi,
Just wondering if it possible to get progressive scan through a scart RGB connection or if you can only get it through component. Secondly does prog scan make a big difference. I have a 20'' sharp lcd tv. Thanks. |

Only through component, DVI or HDMI.
How much of a difference it makes depends on the quality of your LCD's deinterlacer. If your LCD's deinterlacer has a film mode, I doubt you would see much difference. If the deinterlacer is video-mode only then connecting a prog scan DVD player via component should signifcantly improve the picture quality of movies. As for video-based DVD material, again it depends on which has the better deinterlacer, the DVD player or the TV. Last edited by meltcity : 23-09-2004 at 19:31. |
