So the Mitchells have finally taken to incest
I guess it was only a matter of time
Related content from Digital Spy: 'EastEnders' Ben to sleep with Lola - Full Spoilers Ben and her Dad would have been 3rd cousins, making her his 3rd cousin once removed. Very strange behaviour by Lola, I mean what girl wouldnt want to sleep with her "3rd cousin once removed" just so he experience sex with a woman, despite the fact they both know he is gay. to use an overused expression, "what is Kirkwood thinking?" |

You can marry your cousin.
Third cousin once removed is hardly a relation, and it's a soap. |

I knew a guy who had known he was gay for some time, but his best friend, a straight guy said he should get with a girl, just to be sure. So he did. And in his own words: the minute i kissed her i was thinking to myself: right *name*, you really are gay.
He was 17 at that time. He didn't sleep with her and the girl only found out afterwards that she was a guinea pig. So I can believe Ben and Lola. In real life they could have met thinking they were unrelated. Sex doesn't mean a thing to Lola. unfortunately, so yeah, this could happen. It's just because we KNOW about the family connection that makes it weird. O, to stay true to form, at primary school there was this new boy with an unusual surname, which happened to be THE same as that of one of the girls. Their parents investigated and a similar distant relationship was discovered. If one of the steps between them would have been a woman, their surnames would have been different and they would have never known. The guy checking if he was really gay and the new boy are, however, NOT the same person. |

damn, had hoped it wasnt true,
One swallow doesnt make a spring, the vast majority of gay men dont need to 'try' a woman out to make sure... |

Does everybody sleep with everybody on Eastenders?
Related content from Digital Spy: 'EastEnders' Ben to sleep with Lola - Full Spoilers My god, how ridiculous is
Spoiler
Everybody seems to be sleeping with everybody, for no reason just so Kirkwood can have a "who is pregnant storyline" I hope to god it's not Lauren or Lola, and if it has to be Kat then for it to be Alfie's. Although her having two children by different men is stupid. So I'd rather see Mandy pregnant out of the four (if it has to be one of the four) but not by Jack or Ian as they're having like too many children anyway. This storyline will ruin the characters even more when the one that is pregnant is revealed, unless they have an abortion/miscarriage. GET RID OF BRYAN KIRKWOOD NOW |

hes only 15 still a little boy
when u were 15 did u know if u liked boys or girls? I think the storyline is insulting, especially with the other big gay storyline they did with Syed, not knowing if he wanted Christian or Amira.... |

I`m giving up on EE - its been so bad for so long - imo the producer and scriptwriters are naff and they just write a load of piffle that a kid could write.

![]() I love the title of this thread for some reason. EastEnders has always been pretty inbred for as long as I've been watching it. Couldn't they just have introduced a short-term girl character for Ben to shag if EE insist on this "Ben tries not to be gay" angle? Or even better, have Abbie cheat on Jay with his "brother". That reminds me of something else that annoys me, remember when Billy and Jay were really close, like father and son? Then Phil started showing an interest, made him an adoptive Mitchell, now Jay and Billy hardly have any interaction at all any more. Gets on me tits, that. |

![]() Does it not seem strange that your parents are blood related? Also, having grown up in that particular situation, does that mean that you would do the same thing? Please note, Im not trying to be rude, just strangely curious from an inside view so to speak |

Anyway, a relationship with my cousins could never have occurred as I am female and such cousins as I knew about were all female too !!! |

It's allowed to happen there but when EE does it all hell breaks loose. |

I never even thought of that when I read the article! Still though, third cousins once removed.....it's not that closely related. I don't even know any of my third cousins once removed!

Why the turning Lauren into a little tart lately ...can't see it esp with worry over her mum ?such bad writing lately ..and Kat in the alley ..just plain wrong !Soon forgot her maternal obsession with Tommy then ? and keeping family together .
