No, just those few details I'm afraid, they hinted it could be released in either late 2012 or early 2013.

I'm all for 'revisitations' of stories that had no sufficient extra's or the picture quality has improved, like the up'n'coming 'Inferno' and 'Vengeance on varos', but I hope because of the spartan amount of next years releases they are not going to dredge through all the titles for releases for the sake of bulking up. My wallet in smaller on the inside that the outside!

I picked up The Krotons yesterday in a certain cd/ dvd shop in Manchester city centre. Two days early. Someone obviously has slipped up. I had to do a double take as I thought it was The Dominators at first. Nice lengthy Troughton documentary on it. Nothing earth shattering but its a good one, The COMING SOON trailer for Greatest Show In The Galaxy is very well put together too.

That sounds like HMV to me, I picked up the triple play re-issues of Batman Begins and Batman the dark knight on the saturday before the monday release, and I saw the £10 each sticker and my eyes bulged !

have any episodes been found or is it just a hoax?

The Moonbase commentary could just be on the existing episodes.

Interesting that the article says that Ambassadors of Death was originally going to be released with The Sunmakers. I can't think why because I can't see any connection between the stories and I'm quite glad because I quite like Ambassadors but can't stand Sunmakers.

They were going to be released in "The Solar System" boxset if my memory serves me correctly - presumably as both took place within our solar system; similarly to the rather baffling "Earth Story" boxset

With the Krotons and Death to the Daleks both already having been released in England and both coming out Tuesday here in the U.S., we can now remove them from the list. That makes the list now:

The Greatest Show in the Galaxy - UK:July 30th, 2012 - US:August 14th, 2012
Planet of Giants - UK: August 20th, 2012 - US: September 11th, 2012
The Ambassadors of Death - UK: October 1st, 2012 - US: Unknown

Remaining:

The Reign of Terror
Terror of the Zygons
The Mind of Evil
The Tenth Planet
The Ice Warriors
Shada

Hopefully The Ambassadors of Death will have a date announced for the U.S. soon- maybe October 9th, 2012?

We now only have nine serials left on the list; three already announced and six as of yet to be announced. We are actually running out of existing material to have released on DVD.

Should we expect any more DVDs to be released this year in November or December or will the six remaining serials all be released next year?

Also, have we had any confirmation of the rumors about the newly found episodes?

Enjoy watching Death to the Daleks this week guys!

They are re-releasing Inferno at some stage in 2013 so that will fill a slot.

There wa also a runmour that there would be releasing Claws of Axos again and I would love a reissue of Ark in Space. They still need to fill a few slots in the schedule so I guess we might get some "season box sets" at some stage also.

They ought to release all the remaining ones in 'The Universe' boxset (unless Shada happened in a different one).

This is what I meant by "making up new information" - undoubtedly sometime in the near future, we will see the day where "interpolation" (if you'e done A-Level/ages 16-18 maths, then that may ring a few bells) as this "combining of information in the lines of video/the picture to make up the extra lines in a HD source than a SD one" is called will be so good that there will be no "blocky" artefacts, but as upscaling (which uses interpolation") goes at the moment, we are not at that level of quality at the moment

It would only take up a single shelf (or just a little more maybe).
I have a DJ-style DVD carry case to rectify that problem for me.

That's one hell of a question haha!

I'd recommend Remembrance of the Daleks

Or the "Revisitations 1" or "Revisitations 3" boxsets

Or maybe the Five Doctors to introduce you to a few doctors and companions

Hope that helps

Begin at the Beginning I would say

I would suggest that you start with the very first episodes to be found in the DVD set The Beginning. But then for me the monochrome episodes are the best!

The Five Doctors would be a bit confusing if you don't know any of the players already. Best to start with one Doctor at a time.

I suppose. I've got a soft spot for it as it was my first classic DVD and I loved it!

It's not a 'reboot' mate, a continuation, thought i'd mention it before your strung up by the Dalek spheres from a crazed fan...

Problem with this question is people tend to recommend everything. Depends what you're looking for but I'd go for one of-

The Caves of Androzani
Genesis of the Daleks
The Beginning set
City of Death
The Daemons

Just a spot of intrest, there was an article about production subtitles in DWM. There they published that the production subtitles for The Ambassadors of Death,The Mind of Evil,The Ice Warriors,The Tenth Planet, and Shada had already been written. Not long to wait, I hope

Is this the first official mention of The Ice Warriors being DVDd? I'm reading the book at the moment and was wondering about dusting off my old VHS, but I find it difficult to follow with mising episodes, and I think it's just about the only "missing" story I don't have on CD. I wonder how they'll reconstruct the missing episodes? V exciting!
