First thing you'll hear me say is that these pictures are definitely better than the ones taken for the last series!

Anyone you're looking forward to in particular?

Dear me, they're a good looking bunch. When I was sixteen I was spotty and awkward. Still spotty five years on, even! Incredibly jealous of every single one of 'em. Plus, bonus jealousy on top of my RDA 'cause going on The Apprentice looks like worlds of fun, and the kids typically come out with a lot more to brag about than the adults.

I notice one of them's disappeared from the BBC Website. As in, his biography just plain isn't there. James... McCullogh, is it? Not a trace. I'd imagine it's just a stray line of code or some such, but the pessimistic part of me is concocting a ridiculous yarn along the lines of "did he get fired first and now his family are asking the BBC to withdraw the episode and so they'll have to start with episode two?" Utter nonsense, I know, but it is an oddly specific error.

No audition videos on the site yet, either. Any idea of an ETA?

(Also... "2012?")

Also James' bio is back up again - must have been a glitch

You think they are good looking for their age?!

What did you look like?

I looked like a gangly mass of superfluous limbs that I could sort of control if I concentrated really hard, with a mop of straggly hair that wouldn't stay away from my eyes. I wasn't an ugly lad, I just looked sixteen! Hadn't grown out yet.

Not all, but a majority of these kids, on the other hand, look like they've been scouted to sing pop tunes. I'll be deadly surprised when Mahamed doesn't speak in autotune. If he doesn't speak in autotune.

It's really annoying. The girls are worst - look at the group shot! (Link!) That's not the future of business, that's the future of genetic engineering. That picture looks like it should be annotated with the brand and price of each item of clothing they're wearing.

James's profile is back up now. Nice to see from the quotes that we have some delusional sould on a par with their elders.

Looking forward to this

Yes lets make it the live thread.

Oh no, looks like they are going to be just as bad as the adults.

A good advertisement for getting rid of capitalism.

This looks more serious than the grown up version. They are quite harsh.

Loved Alan's comment there, shouldn't that be "... as embarrassing as your adult counterparts"?

I guess the thing is persuading folk to use it.

Somebody will no doubt join all this together somewhere.
