I do have some sympathy Loopy, I'm a very long suffering Spurs fan (as we all are), but hey, brighter days seem to be here for us at the moment - so you never know, if it can happen for Spurs it could happen for EE, your faith could be rewarded

Well, my views on this thread are as follows...

People that start throwing insults at people (eg Loopy Lisa) who express their OPINIONS about EE and its abysmal state, are wrong.

It doesn't mean you are not a fan if you critisize the show. You don't have to praise it and pretend for your own insecurities that it is fabulous... because it isn't. I wouldn't say that alan isn't a fan just because he critisizes it (alot ). REAL fans are those that have an open mind to the show, praise it when deserved and critisize it when needed (like MEEE... choco=perfect fan)

When someone replies to a WAYS TO IMPROVE EE THREAD, with:

"Axe it! Make us all happy RIP DEADENDERS!"

THEN that is STUPID critisism.

Bottom Line = This is a soaps forum, people want to express their feelings on soaps, childish EE fans feel the need to dismiss any bad features of the show and take their anger out on people that critisize it. Wont change

No I said i was a real fan for supporting the show in its hour of need and yes I have critisized it too I was the one campaigning for LB to be sacked.

In defence for Loopy Lisa (who should be at number 10 for her efforts towards EE )

I think this thread is uncalled for if it was about Corrie or Emmerdale people would be up in arms about it would they not?

Anyway instead of arguing you should look at the good points EE has a new exec and it is obvious that the Ferreira's are heading for the chop so come on guys if someone wants to big up EE who are you lot to stop them?

We are not stopping them, but we can have an opinion of them. Though Loopy lisa is not really a fanatic.........Just go over to the BBC boards and have a look at those tweenies.........Jesus they should go back to school and learn how to spell!

May I jut say that quite frankly almost all of you are stupid. The level of childish ignorance that has been going on in the last 2 or so months has got to a ridiculous level with members like Flower Power and BBC Blob causing annoyance.
To start with 'Charity Dingle', I really don't see what you expected to gain by posting this. subject to what you may think, you are not The Voice Of Reason and by saying this did you think you would get every Eastenders fan just to stop watching it forever, because if you did, you haven't a clue.
By saying that 'loyal Eastenders fans' voted for the wrong soap to win the award is ridiculously backwards. Who do you expect them to vote for? Home & Away?
The one thing we all have in common, is that we are soap fans. Never mind which soap. In the big-wide world if one person doesn't have the same taste in soaps, they don't bicker about it, but accept it, and move on, perhaps even listen to someone elses views about it.
To Loopy Lisa, I would advise for you, on behalf of the other members, to take some time before jumping down other people's throats and thinking carefully about how you can sensitiely respond. maybe browse around the other forums and respond to some of them (I'm sure you know more things than just about soaps). Try the films or music forums; see if you like it. That's how I managed to attain my interest in these boards.
I don't want things to get to heated on here and spoil it for the others who use it properly.
