I think that the show is getting less exciting for me as Jason Donovan is running the show! He's too good and I don't think he should be allowed on the show.

He is the best dancer and the best performer. How often in the past has the best dancer/performer won ?

Well, Natasha Kaplinsky won, Jill Halfpenny won, Mark Rampakash won and Alesha Dixon won.

at the moment I'd say he's not a shoo in

My instinct is that it might be Harry or Robbie.

However I think a boy will win this year

I think it will be Harry..Harry is a popular guy plus one of the better dancers. Jason second place.

No, he peaks too early and he's probably already on the top of his game. He will easily be surpassed by Harry who is already a better dancer and has way to go yet and possibly Chelsee.

I did know what you were getting at....and I was pointing out that its not always the 'best' dancer that wins.

There are at least 4 that could win this series....so NO its not inevitable that Jason will win but I will enjoy watching him dance every week.....he is not 'running' the show, he is doing what he was invited on the show to do, learn to dance ballroom and latin routines and perform them live on a Saturday to the best of his ability which at the moment is pretty darn good.

I don't have any problems with him being on the show. Whilst he may have had experience in theatre and dance or whatever in previous years that may be some advantage, he wouldn't be the first former celebrity to have that.

I also think it's nice to see such a high-standard consistant celebrity take part.

However, I have to agree with petertard. If his hight standard remains consistant throughout the series, to the point where he's topping the leaderboard every week with nothing but praise for the judges, I wouldn't be surprised if it cost him in the end anyway.

Whether it's fair or not, it's true. We've seen many high standard celebrities over the years that have been praised to the heavens for how good they are, and they've lost out in the end.

Personally, I'd love to see some of the others really up their game and challenge him, since I think it wouldmake things a little more interesting, and probably work in Jason's favour.

However, if Jason remains head and shoulders above the rest every week for the rest of the series, I'd be very surprised to see him win. Look at how good Rachel Stevens, Ricky Whittle, Louisa Lytton, Matt Baker etc were. They were all capable of being amazing and, more often than not, consistant. Not to mention Pamela who was also great (though not always) and received loads of praise from the judges, but she lost out in the end too.

There's no denying Jason could run away with it, but we're quite fickle, us GBP and I'm not sure I can see us backing somebody so obviously good, especially since we love an Underdog.

I just hope some of the others can up their games and at least prove a little bit of a challenge, otherwise it may just get a tad boring.

Sure he's very good and he might win, but it's early days yet. Give the others chance to improve a bit and I think there's a few who will give him a run for his money. My favourite for that is Harry (if Aliona doesn't go too crazy and lets him dance). Of the girls, I think that Chelsee may prove to be a bit of a surprise....

Its early days - and he hasn't yet suffered the thing which turns people against him...... the judges ignoring errors he makes when they clobber others for doing the same thing!

At the moment he is (deservedly) getting high marks for high standard performances - but there is very definitely a chasing pack of Holly, Harry, Chelsee and possibly Robbie who are not that far behind and all Jason needs is a bad week or an injury for one or more of them to catch him up.

His big advantage is that he's a showman first and last (as is Holly - and Anita to a lesser extent due to her age) - they are all theatrical performers who are used to switiching on when the lights go up - and in Jason's case in particular - working his socks off to deliver those showstopping performances.

Think Jason will make the final but won't win it, either 3rd or runner up IMO. i think Robbie could be this seasons winner or Harry. I think the final 3 will either be Jason, Harry and Chelsee. If Harry doesnt make the final then Robbie will

Jason is not the best dancer. Dance-wise I'd put him 3rd or 4th. But he is the best performer. That coupled with Kristina's choreographies wins over the judges. In these early stages that most other celebs aren't confident enough to perform, Jason is the front runner. But in a few more weeks when the others have gained more confidence and are a bit more competent, the gap between Jason and the top dancers (like Harry and Chelsea) will become more apparent and he won't continue to top the leader-board.

I have to say, Kristina's choreographies are genius. To be honest I think as long as she gets a partner that stands a chance (i.e is not old or physically unsuitable for dancing) she can make a potential winner out of him.

I hope so, last week I loved his Tango and the show wouldn't have been anyway near as good without it!

I'd also love to see Kristina win! She's never had a good partner before so never been able to show how good she is, but so far with Jason her choreography has been amazing and definitely the best out of the remaining pros! Her 'I will survive' Choreography was genius!

Jason, despite his scary expression, is a performer. That coupled with Kristina inspired choreography is a potent combination.

Will he win? I am not so sure yet. Ola polished a t**d and won with Chris in one season, so she has the experience in creating a personality for the celeb as well as choreographing to the celeb's strengths. So she has a good chance of dragging Robbie kicking and screaming to the finals, and quite possibly win it.

Harry has bundles of potential. Their jive was a let down in terms of actual content (thank goodness Karen Hardy has the guts to confirm this tonight!), but if Aliona learnt from her past mistakes with Matt Baker and actually choreographs with more content Harry might win. He's of that sort that doesn't have to say very much and just let his personality shine when he dances. I suspect that if Aliona creates a dance with lots of content as well as letting Harry's personality shine through in that dance (i.e. Salsa, Samba, Quickstep etc..) then he'll be like Mark Ramprakash with that Hot Hot Hot number, and won the audience and voters' hearts and win the competition.

I think there is a chance that Chelsee will be in the finals if she sort out her technique. I know she's not very well known, but she's a doll and she has natural talent and so far, despite the flaws, I have enjoyed watching her dance because her love of dancing looks genuine and that must be obvious for viewers at home as well.

Not sure about Holly. I think she 's talented but she's mismatched with Artem.

I love watching Jason, but I definitely don't think he's got it in the bag. First, it is too early to say and second you just can't predict how the public will vote the final.

One major factor will be Aliona's choreography for Harry.

Jason's performing skills and Kristina's brilliance in all departments is what is likely to keep them ahead of the rest.

I appreciate where you are coming from!

Watching his first dance I thought "this is just a procession" - not quite a Jennifer Gray/DWTS situation but a bit too close for my liking!

He's had a good head-start with his extensive dance lessons but Holly, Chelsee and a couple of others have more natural talent so will catch up as the weeks go by.

Well said. Strictly is a long haul and those who shine early on don't always get to the winning-post. I'd also mention Scott Maslen last year who many people saw as a final three contender after his first few weeks; and who'd have thought Gavin Henson would have kept going so long? So I'm not putting any money on anybody just yet.

So, if you're 'too good' (your words) you shouldn't be allowed to take part in Strictly? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense... (not)
