Thats not what I meant. I don't see the dancing from him coming fluidly without straining for effect. His Paso was an example. Look back at Mark's Latin for comparison.

He's actually not a natural dancer, he's just working extremely hard, and I think this should be commended. And he's not the best every week, look at the Paso!

Also remember Alesha? I'm sure she came top pretty much every week, it was obvious she would win all the way through!”

Series 5 was an excellent one and there were several couples who could have won. Alesha was indeed a favourite of the judges but (geek alert) didn't come top pretty much every week, although it was close. Positions on the leaderboard were: 3, 1, 3, 1, 4, 1, 1, =1, 2, 2, 1, 1. I'm afraid it wasn't obvious to nervous Mattesha fans that she would win! Not with Gethin, Matt and (until she had to pull out) Kelly in the mix.

To me, that's a big part of the excitement of Strictly - not really knowing whether it will be the dancer or the entertainer who will win. Jason is definitely not a shoo-in, despite being both a good dancer and being fortunate enough to have a pro partner who choreographs excellent and entertaining routines. Gotta factor in the j******, the partnership, as well as all-round likeability. On these factors, the jury's still out about whether Jason ticks any of these boxes for yer average Strictly viewer.

Hi Peeve. This is the point in the series when we start to get a better idea of where the votes are going.

I think (and hope) that Chelseeh's picking up a lot of previously uncommitted voters, if the poll on here is an indicator. I know it's not always a mirror but it's more accurate usually than not.

I'm on a phone so can't list every reason of why Jason probably won't win..there's a multitude. Being a bloody boring drone is the main reason though.

I think Jason will be the shock casualty of the competition. I see him going out the week before the final (which I reckon will comprise of Chelsee, Harry and either Holly or Robbie).

It'd be a shame though. He's not my favourite, but I think the final would miss Jason & Kristina's dazzling routines (regardless of how Jason comes across away from the dancefloor).

Jason and the gorgeous Kristina have to get to the final..I'll be gutted if they don't

There is so much that goes into the mix. The cleverness of the pro dancers choreography, the natural talent of the celeb, how many hours of training. Jason works hard, sure, but does he work smart ? He could burn himself out by taking the show so seriously. He's not a natural by any means. Chelsee, on the other hand, is. If there comes a point where she has more training hours than she is currently able to find (and I hope that is soon) then the results could be explosive and Jason could be a casualty. I do like Kristina's choreography this series - she is doing very well, but don't underestimate the originality of Pasha and of course, Artem.

Cheryl, Pasha I love, Artem not so much, actually I'm not loving his pairing with Holly at all, however much as I want Jason to win, I think you could very well be right about Chelsee. Imagine what she could bring to the table with more training hours..she could win I think

Peeve, I think you have an extra 2 in your list; shouldn't it be: 3, 1, 3, 1, 4, 1, 1, =1, 2, 1, 1?

I agree with you - it was most certainly not a foregone conclusion that Alesha would win series 5. Ditto last year, with Scott and Matt, and series 6 with Rachel and Austin.

Re Jason - this forum, despite its hardcore feel, does reflect public opinion surprisingly well. I cannot see Jason winning, but high placings could see him through to the final like Pamela last year.

I'm not that good a geek, am I? Yup, you're right.

I really hope Jason gets to the final, but that's because I ♥ Kristina and want her to do well. I agree with you that DS generally reflects public opinion. The growing warmth towards Chelsee and Pasha is not confined to this forum; I have heard similar expressions of support being voiced elsewhere (my sister and my hairdresser, just this week).

My daughter and nieces adore Harry because of McFly, but my nieces are restricted in their use of the phone to vote, so their combined two votes a week that my sister allows will not outweigh the five or ten that we bung in for Chelsee & Pasha. Oh, the power of being the bill-payer!

We really don't want a sympathy win for Chelsee, Kristina's choreography deserves a win for Jason.

A Jason win definitely not inevitable after tonight, I hope that Harry wins!

Unless he can stop sounding so serious and dull everytime he speaks and shows more warmth when he dances, he won't win, no matter how good a dancer he is.

I don't find Jason serious all the time, he is dedicated and wants to do well, but he's also having lots of fun along the way.

I find Harry a bit grey unfortunately, Jason is far more entertaining in every way, he is always capable of rising to the big occasion with the lovely Kristina behind him..

I hope Jason wins tbh. The men deserve kudos for the extra work they have to do.

Don't get me wrong, I know he works hard and I really liked him on I'm a Celeb, but it's when he talks to Tess after his dance and when he is on ITT, he is so serious, would like him to loosen up a bit more.

It must be horrendous for all the celebs to realise that not only is their performance on the show witnessed and judged, but their every move, thought and comment is analysed and dissected on here (other forums are also available ) and not always in the most complimentary fashion.
It's a wonder there's not a mass admittance to therapy on a Sunday morning!

Poor Jason, he is such a lovely guy, I reckon he will need some sort of therapy when he leaves strictly, something to build his ego and confidence after all the charachter bashing he has recieved.

Lol. Well to be fair I dont think he reads this forum and he might even be unaware of what people said about him. I think he is just focused on his training.

I agree, it wouldn't do Jason any harm to loosen up a bit, perhaps Kristina could give him a shoulder massage before he goes on.
