Definitely has to be Christina Aguilera, and now she's (finally) hired a vocal coach she'll be unstoppable!

In terms of voice only, I'd have to say Beyonce, Lady GaGa and Jennifer Hudson.

I absolutely detest Lady GaGa and everything about her and her music, but damn she can sing.

K D Lang - my favourite all time female singer, incredible natural ability. Adele is the only one of the modern crop who runs her close IMO. Magical voice.

Beyonce in the US (hands down)/Adele just beats Amy Winehouse for the win in the UK. Amy had better songs but Adele has a better vocal range, which is displayed more so on her debut album rather than recent stuff.

But the men need to up their game, I'm so tired of not having a male vocalist to be proud of.

I like Christina Aguilera but I don't see how she's the strongest vocalist in the world of the last 10 years. Great voice but not enough technical control IMO. Besides, you can find black singers in churches all over the south of America who sing just as well as her. She doesn't seem to have a huge range and I think the main selling point of Christina is the fact that this soulful voice is coming out of a young blonde girl. I doubt she would have had the success she did if she was black.

I'd probably say Amy Winehouse and Robbie Williams for both the femaale and male catergory's. I doubt any other guy can get anywhere near Robbie with such a vocal voice that has he has

Linkin park's "Rolling in the deep" is better than Adele's. That's how extraordinary Chester's vocals are......She must be flattered one of the biggest bans ever covered her track.
