I seem to recall something, along these lines, with Michella and Brendan last year.

Paul Daniels and Ola Jordan-he seemed to do his own thing I think Ola gave up with him.

Argh. All these discussion is bringing back memories!

Brendan was 'hated' by a lot purely for his fiesty relationships with most of his partners.

Surprisingly, Lisa actually tamed him. I don't think Brendan got on well with Kelly as well, but Kelly and him tried not to show it.

But Brendan seemed to have changed after he's paired with Lisa Snowdon (I know their showdance is quite something else but hey ho we are not discussing that here!), and after he's happily settled, he's less rattled, and now he's like a saint putting up with Lulu (yeah, Bloody Lulu!) and actually managed to bring out the best of whatever's little Lulu's got at the moment. I thought that was amazing.

I'm not suprised that you think this as you remind me remarkably of a forum member who championed Craig. Obviously, as that person got banned you couldn't possibly be him.

I wasn't really on these forums much in Craig and Flavias year but I do remember him getting a bit of stick as the weakest dancer

I realised at the time that Craig would never win SCD but I honestly just thought it was nice that he got to live his dream and dance at Blackpool.

Think it was right he got knocked out there mind

Give it some time. It will unravel itself in due course.

I have already put him on the ignore list together with the other R2D2 clones, life's much easier that way.

Would love to hear more about what's wrong with everyone, and what is famously lovable too. Just for balance.”

I love your post!

I agree with the names already mentioned, except Michelle and Brendan who got on like a house on fire on a personal basis.

Gary Rhodes didn't allow much time in his very busy work schedule to train and eventually Karen lost it with him. I don't think it had anything to do with winning with Mark. From what I saw, I didn't blame her one bit and I say that as someone who really liked Gary before he did the show. I think he thought doing the show would be easy - big mistake.

I don't think I've ever heard about any of the pros not getting on.

As I said, so, so, so alike. Infact you also remind me of another banned member from last year too. He wanted everyone to vote for Pamela because she is married to a scot and, just like you, started many, many a thread about how the female pros should wear skimpier outfits. The likenesses are uncanny.

And of course, Anton and Nancy. Don't have to worry they will be making babies any time soon, though with Dr Pammie, anything is possible.

Now I've always credited the new Mrs Cole with calming Brendan down. I remember reading Hello when they got married they were trying for a family straight away.....maybe the thought of parenting has helped too? I think Kelly was too wilful and took no prisoners where her image was concerned.

Remember their Paso when she was the bull and Brendan the cape? I remember Len telling her to stop farting about and to listen to Brendan.

Sorry to not reply direct.....am using my iPad and I haven't got the hang of quoting on it yet!

Don't worry. But at the end, when Kelly's father suddenly passed away, Brendan was quite supportive of her, and when she didn't have time to train (for obvious reasons) Brendan did that Saturday Night disco routine and remained quiet and took all the blame when the judges slated his choreography, and you can see Kelly felt really bad for Brendan.

I loved their dancing. Their AS remains one of my most favourite ever SCD dances.....third lift and all. I wanted Kelly win not Alesha. Two huge personalities in that partnership fighting for top dog but I do remember Brendan going to see her in Calendar Girls so obviously some friendship too.

Golly had forgotten Craig and Flavia - he was convinced he was an okay dancer and it was all a bit squirmy.
Pamela wrote a big article about how much she loved James last year so was a bit suprised to read another article just before this season of SCD saying she hadnt spoken to James in a while as thought they got on??????
Some people do seem to be "favoured" contestants - Alisha; Zoe and Pamela and get asked back - however it may be the botox but am just not that fussed on Dr. Pamela.

When we (not the royal we,the family and i) went to Live & Unjudged in Cheltenham(pre Michelle) Brendan said he got on well with all but 3 of his celebs(not sure if he mentioned it at any subsequent L& U I only went to one)using my intuition I took this to mean Sarah,Fiona & Claire

I think Brendan's had partners where they really did not get on (i.e. Sarah Manners and Fiona Phillips), but we have seen him get frustrated with every celeb partner he's had! That's just how he is though and he got on great with a lot of them on a personal basis. I think before he got engaged and then married he was very competitive, but in recent years I think he has learned to settle for his partner doing her best and just enjoy being on the show.

To be fair to Craig Kelly I remember reading about him going to see the pro tour and someone reporting he only said lovely things about Flavia.

I think he was a pain but I don't think there was dislike there.
