When signing in it requires your Google account, when I enter it in it says that it's not available outside the U.S.

So have you got a U.S. account or is there some other way around it?
Given the context of the topic, I would assume that he's talking about voice dictation and not the Google Voice app.

So you drive while wearing earphones? Do you think you are still in full command of the vehicle? Wearing earphones in a car is a death waiting to happen, hopefully it will be the idiot wearing the earphones and not the poor sod they hit.
It no more interferes with my ability to hear than does music playing on a car radio. As it happens I never listen to music, and listening to voice on earbuds doesn't interfere with my ability to hear external noises. In fact music on the car radio blocks out much more than does voice on earbuds. So I guess you would ban car radios as well.
Also, earbuds are better for both speaking and listening, hence there is less distraction on the driver than straining to hear or be heard over a BT hands free.

I dont know - I have never used it.

Just gave it a go now, it didnt ask for an acocunt. Although it did ask if I wanted to send info to google - I declined. There was nothing about signing in.

Just downloaded to my android phone and it warns that it's available only in the U.S. at this time.

It will let you install, but it doesn't work.

there is a way.

v long winded. And you won't be able to use it to replace your phone's voicemail, unless you fancy diverting to an international number. But the app can track any calls to your US number; right now, only really useful if you want to make/receive calls/sms from the US.

edit:Although, having said that, it offers 2p/min to uk Landlines and 7-11p/min for uk mobiles, might well be cheaper if you've run out of credit.
