Unlikely Duets
Has there even been two artists who you never ever thought was colab on a song, and then they have? Coldplay and Rhianna have really surprised me, I always felt like they were from two different worlds. The end result is a real grower.

I agree Coldplay and Rihanna is such a strange collab.
I mean, the people Rihanna usually does songs with are dance DJs or rappers, so all those people have similar fanbases. People who are fans of Kanye West, Eminem, Jay-Z, etc. are probably also Rihanna fans who are probably also Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Chase & Status, etc. fans. But Coldplay and Rihanna have completely different fanbases, so it's quite strange. I think Lil Wayne recently did a song with one of the Jonas Brothers. And T.I. and Taylor Swift did a Live Your Life remix recently, which was total WTF. |

Not so much a duet as it wasn't 50/50 in terms of singing but the track with Madonna and Lil wayne kicked ass and still does when i hear it.

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera was totally unexpected, again from two different worlds, the end result was the catchiest song of the year, "Moves Like Jagger".
People say Rihanna and Coldplay was unexpected but don't forget Rihanna also teamed up with Maroon 5 back in 2008 with "If I Never See Your Face Again". Rihanna is super versatile IMO. Her voice blend effortlessly in so many genres. |

Gaga and Tony Bennett wasn't something I expected.
Didn't expect Alicia Keys to collaborate with Jack White for the James Bond theme. |

Florence and Dizzee was a unlikely pairing. I loved it back then but looking back, neither songs actually worked together and it sounds like such a mess.
