I have been reading your post about the x factor
has any of you been for an audition and didn't get through, I would like to hear from you.
My experience was very upsetting, I was the 16 year old they showed in the pod crying on the very first show, they never showed my audition . I was classed as a sore loser by getting so upset. no one knew what was said about me in the room, none of them could fault my singing but simon just said I was nothing special. I am short and not thin, and was looked at like some kind of ugly freak. go to my website and listen to my demos . I wanted my audition to be shown so people could judge for themselves if I was crap or not. thanks for reading this

Oh dear, whispery.
I think you already have your answer, don't you?
The X factor is about being a bit WOW!
On the day, you weren't.
Still, they may still show your audition, as they have weeks of padding out to do. Sadly, if you were as you believed, quite good but nothing special, you probably weren't entertaining enough to be shown.
Why not keep practising, work on your image, and audition again in about 5 years' time when you've got more confidence.

You must have felt devastated, and seeing yourself on tv must just bring it all back again. I did feel really sorry for those they showed being upset.

Don't forget, it's just those three people's opinions at the end of the day. I saw some people being auditioned who I thought were good, but they didn't get through.

Unfortunately its not just about talent! You've got to have an image, a personality and talent cos its one thing people voting for you but its another buying your singles/album. Look at Michelle McManus everyone voted for her to become Pop Idol but no one is buying her material!

thank you ellie for your kind remarks, a band I know called "inreality "
didn't get through , they are amazing , simon told them they were gr8t but he didn't like what they were wearing ! army trousers and white t shirts all matching. I thought they looked great, I hope they show their audition. I don't think any welsh people made it through but I could be wrong. take care

yes I agree with you stasiak the pop world is not just about talent anymore
singing is everything to me . I sang in public for the first time when I was 6 and on the west end when I was 14 . If nothing ever happens for me I will always have had those experiences and I should be greatful for that take care

Keep fighting for it and if you want it enough you'll get it! I too have been rejected from auditions (not as harsh as pop idol/x factor)
but you just have to keep going! Who says Simon is always right anyway! Believe me you will look back on your X-Factor audition and think of it as a great lesson! Good luck in the future and keep auditioning!

i have not yet read any other posts on Xfactor but this one. Whisperycat, you did well to get through to the 'simon' audition, and I do wish you well in your future - dont let any of their comments get you down. Have faith in yourself and follow your dream xxx But, I did witness a few 'pre-simon' auditions, and will say that the good didnt always get through - hence the 'bad and funny' auditions we see on saturday nights!
