I keep a 2 TB USB drive permanently plugged in to the back of my Foxsat and try to keep up with copying stuff from the internal 300 G drive onto the 2 Tdrive. The 2 T drive does have an on/off switch.

It does take a lot of time to copy stuff over from the internal drive to the USB drive

Is there any hardware mode which would make the job significantly easier
