Ok, I think they have taken Jules too far now, at first he was slightly humorous but now I think they are taking the piss with his character, surely its time to develop him further rather than carry on this characture!

He's too OTT

Cheap and tacky..........thats what I say.

The episode on a whole was good... I loved the ending; Ian/Jane and Martin/Sonia/Sarah. Had a good shock factor to it

The scene will Juley and Kareena was like the combination of my two worst ever characters... Thankfully it was dark...
Garbage

I agree chocopop.. the bunny boiler plot and the ian/jane thing are really worthwhile pltos.

Juley is so ridiculous. He's totally unrealistic, what way does he speak? And why is it most of his lines seem to be to himself?

The Jane Ian stuff is great so is the Sarah Sonia Martin plot I like Juley sometimes EE is on the up yet people just like to pick the bad points out the only reason the writing has been bad is because some of the characters LB brought in were crap.

Are you taught full stops and commas at school? Because that sentence seriously needs to be looked at, grammar wise... It was 4 lines long

Maybe this is EE's attempt to mimic the light-hearted comedy elements of Corrie. Juley's comment about the benefits of cheap wine being quantity not quality made me laugh ... err, well chuckle ... a bit.

It's a term used to describe and obsessive, scorned lover.. Comes from the movie "Fatal Attraction" where Glen Close boils the pet rabbit of the son of the guy she was wreaking revenge upon.

Michelle from BB5 was a bunny-boiler. Although instead of boiling bunnies, she was stewing chickens.

A good ep tonight me thinks

Sarah definitely has a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock

I got strange deja vou today and I didn't like it! When Phil had his thugs attack Dennis in the Arches, I wasn't overly bothered - in fact, I thought Dennis needed to be taken down a peg or two for constantly hounding Phil.

I hated what Andy was going to do to Minty today but if you think about it, its not really all that different. Ok, the circumstances behind Minty harrassing Andy are and we know Minty's right but Andy was trying to do to Minty exactly the same as what Phil did to Dennis really - although of course, Andy, being sicker and more sadistic than Phil, obviously stayed to watch.

The main difference is, of course, that Dennis actively sought Phil out for a fight whereas Minty was trying to avoid Andy.

But the parallells were definitely there

Glad Sam stopped it though

EE need to lose Juley, Kareena and Andy.

Juley, Kareena and the Ferreira's all have a great ability to take down an episode. At least Andy, while a weak character, is in a semi interesting storyline. The other's are all taking up space imo and I'm hoping they won't survive the new regime

Exactly, well it was said they are there just to fill make up the numbers. Two years ago under the great John Yorke, the Ferreiras, Gus and Juley would have been lucky if they were extras in the Queen Vic.

Tonight was the first episode I have truly enjoyed in a very long time.....with the exception of Juley, Kareena, Spencer, and Andy, I thought it was all really good. I'm especially loving the Ian/Jane thing- she is my new fave character, and I think she works really well with Ian, they make a good couple The bunny boiler thing is shaping up really well too!

Juley needs to be gotten rid of pronto. Wouldn't it be great if we tuned in Friday and saw that he was gone, with an explantion inserted like they did with Poochie in the Simpsons?!
One thing, am I right that Andy didn't carry Sam over the threshold? I saw when they arrived back and he headed off somewhere, but managed to cremate my dinner so missed if he did actually carry her. If he didn't, what an unromantic plonker.

If any of you had spent the last 19 years watching Eastenders then you wouldn't be coming on here thinking that last nights episode was great. It was 28 minutes of dragged out twaddle. Full of the usual couldn't-care-less characters and storylines developing at a snails pace.

It's only taken two months for Jane to tell Ian about her sick husband. The Billy/Minty/Andy/Sam storyline has only been going on for about four months now. The stalker storyline is overtly clumsy and oh, how many more times are we going to see someone getting beaten up in the garage? And then we had the killer plot that kept me hooked, Spencer trying to save Ian's business money by getting a new supplier for condiments. Actually if anyone can actually tell me the point of Spencer, can they write it on a postcard and send it too me please.

The point of Spencer could be written on a pinhead (of which, strangely, he is one)

No, it wasn't brilliant compared to how it's been in the past. The point is that it's better than it has been for a long time, and people are hoping the improvement will continue.

The Juley character is just becoming ridiculous and unbelievable. He's obviously supposed to be some new 'comedy' character, but we have to care about him and it's hard to do that when he's always behaving like a plonker. I did like his quantity rather than quality line, though.

I have to agree with you, I've also watched EE since it started and this episode was basically a non event - I would say that the Ian + Jane scenes were good, however you are correct why has it taken two months just to get to this point.

Come on... Jules isn't that bad! EE needs a character that is happy and funny- apart from all that charity box money stuff Jules has always cracked funny lines which makes a nice change from the usual doom and gloom the EE scripwriters seem to love. I say keep Jules!

I agree with KidA. It was dullsville.

I like Ian and Jane, and their scenes were mildly interesting - at least he now knows about hubby, they have been dragging out that revelation a bit.

But the rest of it was twaddle. The fatal attraction plot is irritating (and as I said yesterday - we knew the end before it even began). And Juley and Kareena - arrghh! Give me strength. Who cares who she shags, both of them are prats, just get on with it. Pointless and not funny.

And panto-gangster Andy's heavies beating someone up - didn't we go through enough of that with the indecent proposal storyline, it's not of the slightest interest.

Which has just made me think... Indecent Proposal, Fatal Attraction, the writers have been plagiarising too many films lately. And doing it really badly

Jules? Funny? He's about as funny as a fractured skull.

Well neither of them crack me up The writing, and his acting, are far too ham for that, they just make me  I don't think comedy is an EastEnders skill.

EE isn't meant to be a comedy though. If you want that switch to E4 and their endless Friends re runs.
July's line about quantity over quality was funny. To me he comes across like Chris Eubank, with the supposedly good suits, the "posh" language "oh my word Kareena"....But on the whole he is pretty useless. Last night was the first time in ages I was able to tolerate him on my telly. Kareena is a bit of fool too though. She witters on about her first time having to be special etc etc yet she was willing to go at it on M icky's single bed with a scraggy football duvet cover and then on the two seater in Gus's flat. Classy girl Kareena. But then to be fair she is taking advice and lessons from a pole dancer who counts Gulliver among her ancestors.
