Lol just came here to post this, the news broke in the last 5 minutes.

I'm not shocked or upset. They had a nice run back when teenage girls loved boy-bands but I never took them seriously and I'm Irish.

I think it was inevitable. It's funny everyone's reforming and Westlife are splitting,

The Stone Roses reform and Westlife split. There's a light at the end of the musical tunnel!

I didn't particularly like them, I liked a few so i'm not fussed. I'm feeling for the fans though, it's sad when your favourite band announces they are splitting.

They've had a very good innings and I wouldn't rule out a reunion in a few years, as they all seem to get on well with each other.

Give them a few years and they will get back together like eurostar said they all get on well with each other.

Yay!!! I'm happy... sorry fans, but they have ruined a few classic songs over the years and lack charisma for me.

lol! i thought Westlife split ages ago?

I wouldn't mind hearing a solo album from Mark Filan, I think he has a really nice voice.

I loathed them as a child and teenager, but I was just getting used to them!

I'm proud of them being Irish and so successful!
