Anyone know?

Den/Angie's divorce papers, Richard's plunge and murders, Who Shot Phil, Hilda's Exit, The Emmerdale plane crash, all drew huge viewers -

anyone got a top 10?

99% Sure that the divorce papers was at number one. Don't have an exact figure or clue about the rest though...

I know the Den/Angie divorce papers christmas episode got like 30 million viewers, not sure about any other programms. I think the 'who shot JR?' thing in Dallas got pretty high figures too.

Most of the highest ratings these days are pretty low in comparison to when soap ratings were REALLY high. Richard Hillman's death was something like 18 million, which probably isn't even top 20.

The plane crash only got 14/15 million and is still Emmerdale's highest (even if MANY of their plots in the past had had happened in Corrie or EE instead they'd get monstrous ratings, but nevermind).

I think the "Who Shot Phil" climax is the highest post-2000 with about 23 million or thereabouts.

Its not actually true the Divorce Papers Den and Angie episode got 30 million.
The Beeb were crafty.

About 15 million tuned in for the first installment of the evening.
And around 15 mill tuned in for the second installment.

The Beeb combined the audience figures for both episodes that Xmas Day night and voila... came up with 30 million.

Where are you getting half of these ratings from? I'm sure several of them are wrong, and the plane crash did not get 18 million at all...much as I'd like it to have done.

Also I believe the Ken/Deirdre/Mike love triangle in Corrie back in 1982/83 is still the highest ratings for Corrie ever.

Searching on Google for articles - Hilda Ogdens exit got the most I think.

Who Shot Phil was definetly 19 million. Check EE website.

I don't think anything under 20 million will be in the top ten

The first installment got 28 Million and the second got 30.2, it wasn't 15 Millions put together. Do you think the media at large would swallow that sort of figure-fudging? That would mean that last Christmas would have got about 27 Million, because the episode got 13 & 14 respective. 30 Million tuned in.

Who Shot JR would be in there, about 25 Million I think.
