I need a surround sound system to go with my new sexy Plasma; Pioneer PDP-435XDE:

What is the best piece of kit to get please?

I want the front speakers to be slim or sit flush in/on wall, that will also have my new plasma screen on.

Also don't want a huge bass box that extrudes out too much
...as I'm going for a minimalistic wow look/effect/image... if you know what I mean.

Other equipment like Sky+ decoder, HDMI dvd player, will hopefully have shelves cut into the wall.

Rear speakers could be slim wireless... or again in the wall.

So because of my NEED for eveything being SLIM, or flushed,
I think sperates is the way forward, but I don't want to spend too much money!

I've done some research...:

SPEAKERS
Mission FS2 5.1 £300
http://www.mission.co.uk/product/fs2...aker_fs2av.htm
(take the brackets off and put them on the wall) ...45mm deep. Nice.
OR
Mission IN-WALL Speakers £180 pair (get enough for 5.1 or 6.1 sound)
http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.p...od=FSPROINWALL
or
KEF Ci160.2FR IN-WALL £150 pair
http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.php?qsProd=CI160FR

HDMi DVD player
to compliment the HDMi Plasma screen
PIONEER DV-868AVi £800
http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_...onomy_id=45-64
or
PANASONIC DVDS97EBS £290
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/dvd-playe...7ebs/index.htm

SUBWoofer
MJ-Acoustics Reference 100 £350
http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.php?qsProd=REF100
or
Yamaha YSTSW015 £130.
http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.php?qsProd=YSTSW015
Both are downward facing subs, so you get more even bass sound & feel throughout the room, and not directed at one part of the room if it were upright type.

AMP/AV Receiver
DENON AVR-770SD AV Receiver £320
[url]http://www.avland.co.uk/denon/avr770sd/avr770sd.htm
or
PIONEER VSXC501S: £330
http://www.hifistore.co.uk/product.php?qsProd=VSXC501S
Has a microphone which sets up the speakers automatically, according to positioning and distance.

ANY OTHER IDEAS!!??
I want top of the range, and SLIMNESS good looks, without spending a bomb!

Talk to me people! What ya sayin'?

Cheers,
Sid

Can't give any specific advice on the kit you mention but it's worth looking at AV Forums. It's frequented by many knowledgeable Home Cinema enthusiasts.
