IPhone 4S vodaphone
If I buy one on vodaphone from Gum tree or eBay will it be hard to unlock as I heard only vodaphone can do it?

It depends.
Honestly, I'd just buy it on contract with Vodafone or whichever supplier. Sure, it works out about 100 quid dearer in the long run but you get internet, phone calls, etc |

I've been looking into getting a Vodaphone iPhone 4 unlocked, and according to those in the know Vodafone will only unlock it at the original owners request. This is a big pain if you've purchased one second hand
![]() I've put in a request and will wait to see what happens, if that fails then I'll have to sell it and buy an unlocked one. OP, it may be worth asking whomever you buy it off if they can arrange for it to be unlocked prior to sale. |
