He acts like he's about to perform brain surgery. Yes, he's very determined and going for it but boy is he boring ...

He has no sense of fun. This is why I don't like him. He works too hard at what he does and is so intense. At everything.

This clip sums him up. The other Josephs - Lee Mead and Donny Osmond look relaxed and natural and there's Jason frowning and looking so serious. Look at him at the end almost busting his guts to sing the loudest.

He must be a nightmare to work with.

Its good to see someone working so hard on the show to entertain us, I don't find Jason at all boring, his dancing partnership with Kristina is lovely to watch.

I prefer Russell. He's trying very hard but still retains a sense of the ridiculous.

Jason has such a head-start over the rest that I can't take HIM seriously as a contestant.

Jason looked how I feel at the moment - constipated.

Oh joy, another Jason bashing thread. Did you have to start a new one?

I suppose at least it means he must be seen as a threat otherwise he wouldn't keep getting all this stick

Maybe it is just nerves on Jason's part - he is being judged and having to put on a show - not easy. Sending you a PM KipsKaz - hope you can hekp me

Jason has visibly relaxed a little in last night's ITT with Kristina. Not sure if it's true they've read the forum of the criticisms about him being too serious, at least he seems to be trying to 'have more fun'. I think once he's knocked off the top spot he might feel more free to 'have fun' in a real sense. He's seeing how it meant for Kristina to have a partner that has potential, and I believe Kristina's slight desperation to win might add that extra pressure in him, who probably is just as competitive, to perform well in every dance he's given.

I really hope he gets some slating from the judges sometime soon, and gets knocked out of the top three spot, and then he might begin to relax a little more...

Of course, I could be wrong. He hinted being depressed by it, so maybe being knocked off the top spot might make matters worse for him and he might implode before the finals.

He was on Radio 5 too at Breakfast, you can find it online if you like torturing yourself. Yes he is serious, trying to add dancing to his showbiz CV like some diligent square trying to please teachers. Turns my stomach.

Sadly this seems to happen every year.

Jason is ok in that clip. They all llook serious at times.and smile at times. Generally speaking, Lee Mead is far more boring/anal than Jason Donovan.

What is wrong in wanting to be the best that you can be at something? Good luck to him I say.

At the end of the day, if the public don't like him and his 'over seriousness' (don't see it myself, but hey) he'll be voted off soon enough. In the meantime I'll just put it down to him being a threat to others favourites (nothing new there).

Kips - I think Jason will win it- he is going nowhere for sometime - I think he has a massive fanbase

Well I wasn't that sold on him to begin with but I've enjoyed all his dances so far and with all the stick he's been getting I'm starting to hope so

However, my favourites never win I should've supported Robbie (reverse psychology and all that)

I can't believe how disliked Jason is, I'm actually shocked that he is being lambasted because he is perceived by some as too studious and taking the job of learning to dance too seriously.I'd say Kristina is delighted to have him as a partner and certainly seems estatic every time they appear on tv together. Well for what it's worth, I love him, think his performance is utterly fabulous and I hope he wins.

So, being serious and trying hard is a bad thing?

Thank god for Jason.....nothing much else to go wow about during Broadway week. If he isnt destined to win (and I think he has a huge fanbase that wont necessarily care how serious he is on ITT but pack theatres up and down the country for the shows he is in) then I hope that he continues to dance brilliantly and be top of the leader board every week so that Kristina will always know in her heart that she should have won.

Yeah. God! Where would the world with be that sort of attitude!

I don't love him. I like him on Strictly and can't see why so many people dislike him so much. He seems genuine to me and takes his 'work' seriously - I don't see this as a bad thing.

The puzzling thing about him is that he's supposed to be a showman yet I can't make myself attend to anything he says or does. He's a vacuum. Either the physics one or the hoover. He just sucks the fun out of stuff. There's some comfort in seeing so many feel the same way.

I'm the kind of idiot who can enjoy Nancy and Anton. My enjoyment thresholds are set permanently on 'low' so it's baffling that Jason can't get over them.

Its all in his face , his smile never reaches his eyes and he is a man on a mission to win this at all costs .Very off putting for me .

I have no problem with him working hard - I don't think anyone has won this without working hard. I think the winner has generally been the person putting in the most hours per week (I'm sure someone knows for sure whether that has been the case every year). However, in each of those cases, the winner was also someone who forged a great relationship with their partner, which I don't see with Jason and Kristina.

We have seen many people succeed who are competitive, which is no problem so long as they are male.

And the winner is also someone who shows just how much they enjoy dancing and learning to dance. Again, I don't see that. Jason seems to me like someone who has set himself a challenge - "Learn to dance and win at doing so". It's just another job to him - one that he wants to do well at, but still just a job.
